free and easy way to help the gunrights war

I don't know about everyone else, but since 1968 I feel that gun owners have, overall despite small victories, been losing the gun rights war. If things keep on like they have been, I think that in the next 20-40 years our gunrights will be lost forever. While I appreciate and help as I can with the way the battle is being fought, I keep thinking we must find better, easier and cheaper ways to advance our gunrights cause. I have post notes asking others for ideas on this and have received little. Here is one idea for you to consider: Everytime you converse (internet, in person, while buying or selling, etc) ask that gun owner to encourage everyone he knows to join any effective national and local gunrights group and help in any way he/she can. Any other ideas out there? Larry

    rednex4hunting, I agree with most of what you say. But I don't think we will ever get the media to be our friend. It appears liberal, left-wing, Socialist type people are either drawn to be a media reporter or after they go through journalism school and on-the-job training they end up as such. And even if NONE of us gun/trucker typed EVER voted, the elected representatives should be held accountable to conduct the nations business in a sensible and reasonable way that follows the constitution and common sense. One example of common sense is that a peaceful citizen deserves to have the LEGAL RIGHT, proper tools (guns) to defend himself/herself, family, other innocents and property. Most of this seems to be ignored by the anti-gun groups and many of our city, county, state and federal representatives. Larry

    aluehrs: with an attitude like yours it is no wonder so many people are afraid of people owning guns. I bet you are a fun guy to sit around with and discuss different topics. have a nice day and pass along my sympathy to those around you who have to deal with you in person on a regular basis.

    Gun owner rights would not be at issue if only gun owners would get out and VOTE.But not just go to polls and mark a ballot, but understand the gun owners rights position of those they are voting for.
