New CT Gun Law in Effect Today

FitzFitz Member Posts: 258 ✭✭✭
I have read a couple of articles concerning this new law but was unable to find the entire law that went into effect today. Does anyone know where I can get it?

This is really bad stuff. The Republican Governor in CT signed this already??? We need to get these yokels out of there.

My God, if that translates into plain English what I think it does... well...it's just another in along list of reasons why I choose to not reside East of the Mississipi River. Not that I don't think it will affect us nationally on some scale, but, I try to pick the battles I can win and in the western states it's my opinion that we have a better chance against the anti-gunners.Another sad day for that "ragged, worn out piece of paper" better known as our Constitution.Reserving my Right to Bear Whatever Damn Arms I Fully Damn Well Want To.

I used to live in CT, voted as pro-gun as possible, but it's hard to elect pro-gun when much of the rest of the state is anti-gun; now you know why I got the hell out of there!!

The socialists know that a dictatorship can never be imposed on an armed populice. That's why they are rabidly anti gun.

(un)fortunately this law names names so anything not there technically,in-so-far-as i know, is o.k. always check with a lawyer! i live in CT and i believe its a fine state in someways, but a tad too liberal for me. maybe a rally in Hartford is a prudent suggestion....

Dectre, I'll go to a rally in Hartford, but I'll bet the local news wouldn't even cover it. As sick as it is, the only thing that would convince people like in the Million Moron March that gun control is a bad idea, would be if someone who was legally carrying stopped a terrorist attack and saved a few of these people. Even still, I bet the media would squash it like they do everything else that they can't twist into Socialist propaganda.

dectre- what you say should be true, but we all know that activist judges will make that law exactly how they want it to read.

Did this actually become a law? They banned the Ruger Mini-14 & PC-9.

Not exactly. The law says this, "Ruger Mini-14/5F folding stock model only"I also heard that legislation passed to completely outlaw all 50 calibers too. The Socialists have been busy, huh? I guess the NRA is picking its battles too because I haven't heard anything about resistance.

Hmm...that .50-caliber ban doesn't specify .50 BMG. It just says .50 caliber ammunition. Guess all you muzzleloader fans are SOL too!

Socialism by definition is the antithesis of the Constitution. Capitalism is the closest form of economic structure to nature, thus, fewer problems. Constitution + Capitalism + 10 Commandments (or something similar) is the BEST way for inherently selfish humans to co-exist. Socialists seek to do the opposite of the Tenth Ammendment and would (do)have government interfere in every aspect of life. The anti-gun lobby is a bunch of pseudo-intellectual, fact-ignoring, hippy-used-to-bes. I believe in MINIMAL government. As someone else brilliantly posted here at Gunbroker.com, "The rights in the Constitution are God-given not mearly written on some paper".
