Gun maker lawsuit

Today's Florida law verdict has some rather remarkable consequences. It actually finds a gun manufacturer guilty of contributing to a murder. Assuming it stands, that's chilling! And more chilling is that the gun owner was more guilty. And the school was equally guilty with the gun owner. The implication is that you need a 24 hour a day guard to watch your gun and schools must now search everyone coming and going in the school system.

Interestingly the jury verdict is nearly the exact opposite of the lawsuits going on in Chicago. The guilt of the gun and it's maker-- the whole demonization frenzy of the gun control crowd is quite marginalized by the decision.

Unfortunately the murderer, who stole the gun, wasn't guilty at all by this verdict--no civil liability at all! Apparently his 28 year sentence didn't register squat with the jury. Something is wrong with this picture.

In other words, the gun, made to manufacturer's specifications to load itself, aim itself and pull its own trigger, magically infused with the spirit of a mass murderer commited these acts, right?? That is the only way I could find in favor of manufacturer liability.

They must have been the same jury that acquitted OJ "the slasher" Simpson, right???

I learned this morning that since this was a case sponsored/financed by the Brady bunch, only the distributor of the gun is being hung out to dry on this one. The actual manufacturer is no longer in business and the school and gun owner are not named as defendants. Another meritless case as only antigunners could drum up.

Two bills in Congress right now, HR 2037 and S2268, which essentially shields gun manufacturers from any liability from the illegal misuse of their legal product on a national level, will solve this problem in the future. These bills have Emperor Davis, back in the Sozialist Republik of Kalifornistan, frightened, because this law will void any and all laws made within that vile, detestable territory, and therefore, make his attempt at banning handguns by lawsuit fail.

We should voice to our Congressmen/women that we need those bills to pass.
