gun control legislation

To: President, Congressmen, Senators
This petition is to be distributed to every governor, speaker of each state
legislature, and states-attorney general of each state. With a copy going
to the President of the United States, Speaker of the house of
representatives, every elected congressman or congresswoman, and every
elected senator.

We oppose any and all federal gun control legislation. The problem is not
the gun. The problem is the
individual who uses the gun for criminal purposes and the individual who
sits behind the bench in a black robe, who refuses to abide by existing
laws, but will offer judge-made decisions circumventing legislative intent.

This is a state issue not a federal issue. It is time to stop punishing law
abiding citizens who have a constitutional right to bear arms. Punish the
criminals who break the laws. Remove the unintended power given to liberal
judges to clear their docket and lessen their workload.

Our petition is simple. Encourage each state lawmaker , in each state, to
write a simple, easy to implement
law that will protect the innocent and remove the criminal from society.

1) If you carry a gun while you are committing a crime, you will serve 10
years in STATE prison.

2) If you display a gun while you are committing a crime, you will serve 20
years in a STATE prison.

3) If you discharge your gun while committing a crime, you will serve 30
years in a STATE prison.

4) If you discharge your gun and kill someone while committing a crime, you
will get life in a STATE
prison, with out the possibility of parole.

With the enactment of these state laws, will also come the enactment of
mandatory sentencing guidelines
which will prevent those liberal judges and their judge-made decisions from
sending these criminals back into society, to shoot and kill again.

Sincerely,
