Question about LEO legislation

I had heard sometime last year that there was a bill that was going through that would allow any current or retired LEO to carry concealed in any of the 50 states. Is this true ( I have heard it from several sources), and could anyone give me an update on it?

The gun kontrol lobby will eventually try to take the cops firearms away from them, too. Probably using the argument, "Now that we have managed to remove EVERY gun from the street, you don't need yours anymore. Hand them over." As a matter of fact, I remember reading how the gun kontrol lobby stated it didn't believe more guns were needed, less are, even from officers.
I may be one who emanated contempt for law enforcement by some of my posts, but believe me, I do not. I merely believe all people should be allowed access to the same sort of weaponry, with absolutely no exemptions to anyone. That is equality. My boonie hat goes off to those officers who believe this to be true, as well. For those who don't, don't pee your pants because we are allowed to have them. Don't tread on me!!!
Death to Tyrants!!!
Those who would offer any interpretation that would relegate Amendment II to "relic" status of a bygone era are blatantly stating that the remainder of the Bill of Rights isn't worth a damn, either.
