Good news in Illinois! All of Daley's gun control proposals were rejected yesterday in Springfield. Daley was basically told to stick to running "The City" rather than trying to set statewide policy. Daley's idea of exporting Chicago style gun control is not going to fly with the rest of the state of Illinois. Thank God for this one! Some of Daley's proposals { SB1195 } were to increase fees for our firearms owners cards, limiting gun purchases to one a month, ban ALL automatic weapons, and certain types of ammo. Now that Daley's croonie, "50cal Rod" is sitting in the Governor's seat, I believe he thought he would get approval of this legislation. A big thanks to the downstate people and Reps on this one.
