1). is it true that you are able to wear a sidearm as long as it is not concealed? is it up to local jurisdictions to enforce?

2). can a restaurant owner conceal & carry a firearm while transporting money to the bank? Legally keep a firearm next to the cash register?

*the above questions are for the state of ohio

    1. It is legal to do so, but there are instances to which it can become illegal. Certain situations suddenly make it illegal, and you are certain to cause a panic, just like if you screamed "FIRE!!! in a crowded theater. I assume you live here so you should probably know how stupid people can be here. Yes, local jurisdictions can overrule this, because the State only governs concealed weapons, leaving that up to local authorities.

    2. No, they cannot carry a concealed weapon, but at the same time, if they did, they could fight it in court, and probably win and make headlines. That has happened three times already. Yes the PROPRIETOR of an establishment can have one in thir restaurant, provided it is not in conjunction with a serving liquor license, and perhaps even a liquor license in general. Best to keep it out of sight, wherever it is.

    Death to Tyrants!!!

Those who would offer any interpretation that would relegate Amendment II to "relic" status of a bygone era are blatantly stating that the remainder of the Bill of Rights isn't worth a damn, either.
