The State of Minnesota has reformed it's CCW laws with the enactment of the Mn. Personal Protection Act.
Minnesota is now a shall issue State, but certain requirements must be met in order to qualify for a permit.
You must show proof of completion of a certified handgun class and proof of completion of a personal protection class dealing specifically with the use of deadly force. The permit application can cost up to $100.00 depending on wich county you are applying in.
The county sheriff has 30 days to approve or deny the application. If they do not do so within those 30 days they must grant the permit.
