we dont get a say in the assault gun ban, i think the american public should be allowed to vote on these matters, not some whitehouse junky who only knows about guns through watching tv and movies.i belive the media is causing this anti-gun problem.only 1 television channel is pro gun and that is the history channel. in conclusion their gonna take are gun's,whats next land, freedom?which way is the government going dictatorship maybe?[:(!]what will become of the second ammendmet?

we DO get a say Marine. If all 90 million of us inundate our representaives with letters, phone calls, emails, this ban will go away. I'm tellin' you guys, the only reason they try to get away with this stuff is because we let 'em. When we stand up and say "ENOUGH !!!" they will stop it. It's like dealing with a child who keeps testing the boundaries of what they are allowed to get away with. All these bureacrats need is to be taken out behind the woodshed, have their backsides warmed up, and this behavior problem will come to a screeching halt.

I can assure you guys of this.... of the 80 million gun owners in this country, not all of them are "assault weapon" owners. If they were, we wouldn't even have this problem. The politicians would know better than to even think about it (except for the very stupidest of them) Many of those same gunowners believe the 2nd Amendment is all about duck hunting, and I'm here to burst the bubble.

Otherwise, I'm with you, Marine, and I copy that, jp.

MARINE: You are correct Sir, Hollywood has more to do with the mentallity of this country than most realize. Law Enforcement Officers, Congress Persons ([;)]), Liberal Twits, and the Public in general, all have become subject to the "BooB Tube". Movies asscociate Guns with Violence, (if Guns were eliminated; Hollywood would have to find another tool too enhance their BS). Also; The North Hollywood Shootout was the largest promotion of Police Paranoia to date. As I understand; The only people killed in the incident were the Perpetrators, they wore no Body Armour on their heads, and Guns were taken from a Local Gun Shop as-to give the Law Enforcement Officers an edge. (feel free to correct me if I am wrong). [?]

Had Law Officers had been better shots = it would have taken only minimal rounds to eliminate the problem. Had not been for an Officer (arriving late to the scene), shooting under the car and hitting one assailant in the foot, the battle might still be on. There is little or no credit given to the Local Gun Shop, except as a tool too enhance the mis-conception that Law Enforcement is UnderArmed[:0]. (G. Gordon Liddy's Theory of Approach would have been applicable in this particular situation). In other words: The Assault Weapons were very uneffective, for the Police still couldn't hit what they were amming at.

Now! The News Media as well as Hollywood Producers pray daily, for something like this too happen, (an Isolated Incident to be Captalized on). This fuels their monetary Opinion = "We are giving the Public what they want". <right from the Liberal Handbook>.

"We are immatative Animals, which is the seed of all education within us, we do what we see others do". ~ T.Jefferson

Marine: Reality Check> While in the Military: Assault Weapons are GOOD, Killing is GOOD, you are trusted and supported in that endeavor. Isn't it odd; When you get out of the Military you are no longer TRUSTED nor SUPPORTED, actually you will be considered more of a threat to Society because of your Military Training!

Great Point CHUNK: This country (through the Dumbing Down Process) now mirrors Screen Writers & Script Writers imaginations. As I have said before; "A Boy in Crab Orchard, Kentucky, wearing his hat backward? That is not something in his DNA"! The only responsibility these writers and producers have/feel is to produce something NEW & EXCITING on a production basis. Little do they realize; They are raising our Children (just as many of us patterned our lives around Gene Autry, Paladin, or John Wayne). Just as the PORN KINGS profess too, "We are just giving the Public what it wants". RIGHT! And Micky Dee thinks we want greasy fries or cardboard resembling meat?

Now! If we sued McDonalds, every time we see trash on the street or road with their name on it? If we sued Wal-Mart for Un-American activity, anytime we see a Product with "China" on it. If we sued Congress for their "Night Passage" of their Bills to enhance themselves. If we sued the Government everytime an Industrial Plant closes or is shipped to Mexico. Things may just take the approprate turn? Who does Joe Average think pushes the "Seat Belt" Law? (Insurance Companys) Law Enforcement couldn't care less.

Many here advocate = Voting back our Liberty, but I say, "That is a great thought, but very un-realistic". Gentlemen, there are three options left, but only three.
    1. 4 -5000 Men, meet at the steps of the Supreme Court and Demand a final ruling on the 2nd Admendment.
    2. Assume the Constitution is non compus mentos, and make War on the Destroyers of Our Constitution.
    3. Set down and shut up.

Ex-Military may be our only hope in preserving Our Land, I do adhere to Jesus Christ Philosophy (when hanging from the Cross), Lord, forgive them, for they know not what they do". But! Trust, these Gentlemen know exactly what they are doing, and frankly; They don't give a Damn. NAFTA, WTO, WHA, all poised to enhance power for the Powerfull and Wealth for the Already Rich! For God, Country, and The American Way of Life, is not part of that Philosophy.

With Smoke, Mirrors, Lies and Deceit, we have and are being lead down a path which is totally rhetorical to "The Founding Principles" of this Great Nation. Do we actually believe "Borders can't be Controlled"? Do we buy their concept of "China, MOST FAVORED NATION"? "It's the Economy Stupid" (where did the Clown go that coined that little ditty?) Naw, that an't it Bud, "It's Money and Power Stupid". Like Oswald actually Killed Kennedy, We went Iraq to FREE the IRAQIAN People, Drugs can't be controlled or Eliminated in this country, Welfare is the best option to help people become productive, It's the Individual with the GUN which is the danger too our Soceity, (that last statement is true if the word OUR did not actually mean "Their").

Now the Black Ford should be pulling up any minute >>>>>>>>

On our current path, how long do you think it will be before "our" President recites these words:
"This year will go down in history. For the "second" time, a civilized nation has full gun registration. Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead into the future!" Adolf Hitler, was the first in 1935

I agree that assault weapons (including automatics) should be legalized. However we can't have everybody in the country vote on the issue, or we would have no chance of getting anything that even resembles a machine gun. Most people are too incompetent to tell the difference between a semi-auto AK-47 and a full auto. Electing good representatives is the only hope we have.

Gentlemen, have you noticed that the latest trend is to label stuff "extreme"? It connotes a leap of technology or fearlessness. What about gun owners being called extremists? Used to be in every paper's reporting of incidents involving firearms. Now it's "cool" to be extreme, putting no barriers between yourself and imminent death.
Right Wing extremists have something to be proud of now; they were "extreme" before being "extreme" was cool.
As far as the 3 options; the 4th would be to drag your worthless gun owning buddies too busy havin' a beer an enjoyin' the status quo to the polls! At least they ought to know that rights are like eyesight; without them, nobody knows when to duck!

5th option: Stand and be counted. 227 years ago, our founders delivered us from a far greater encroachment, and may that time be at hand.

Marine, go to your legal office and ask if the Soldier's and Sailor's Civil Relief Act protects your personal property from State taxation, licensing, and fees while your stationed away from home.

They will say yes. If it is not used.

Next ask if you need a California Assault Weapon Transportation and Possession Permit when you get stationed there.

See what they say. If they say no, get it on paper.

You can do more than vote.

I went to my base legal office today and asked if the Soldier's and Sailor's Civil Relief Act protects my personal property from being taxed, licensed, or any fee required if I don't use it in California and the Captain said yes. When I mentioned then I don't need a California Possession permit for my 'Assault Weapons' he changed his tune.

Said he wouldn't put it on paper and that I have to hire a civilian lawyer and take the matter to the local D.A.. Although he said he is going to see why California charges military members $73 for the permit when state residents and state law says only $20 will be charged.

Some of the battles for our freedoms are not on a battle field.

So who knows a good cheap lawyer in Northern California?

You are Right: Liberals Call Gun Owners = Extremist; Because they don't need us.

Liberals Call Soldiers: HEROS; because they do need them. Yet Liberals think Heros and Fools are the same thing.

Killing a Convicted Child Molester is wrong> Killing an Innocent Unborn is RIGHT?

The Government has Money to Give away > The Tooth Fairy leaves it.

Liberal Misconception #321: The Government which tested U.S. Soldiers with LSD, Covered Up the Kennedy Assassination, started a War between Honduras and Costa Rica (to profit Congressional Shareholders in the "American Fruit Company", Started a War in Vietnam (never intended to win), Gave itself a Huge Pay-raise and Retirement Program (12:00 Midnight voting), Did Virus testing via Tailpipe through the streets of downtown New York, set up the HAARP Project in Alaska, supported Batista as Dictator but refused to support Castro as a freedom Fighter; This is the Government Liberals Trust?

I'm still wondering why "we" removed a butchering, treacherous despot in Haiti, and replaced him with a treacherous, butchering despot?
Why did "we" allow Mugabe, Mandela, Taylor & Amin to become heads of state in 3rd world Africa? Do we need oil that badly? How about the genocide in Rwanda, Burma, Bosnia/Herzegovina, Somalia, Eritrea, Ethiopia and Nigeria? As long as the entrenched State Dept. libs are making policy regarding foreign national security issues; there will never be an American presence in the African conscience-we will always be looked upon as worldwide meddlers and incompetent ones, to boot!
