Arbitrary sales policy

I ordered some 45acp ammo from Kielsersonline over the weekend. Today I get a phone call and a e mail that they no longer sell ammo to residents of NYS. [?] I called to ask about this and they say they were fined by the state of MA last year.[?][?][?] So I ask what that has to do with sales to NYS. I never really did get an answer, just alot of BS about NYS gun laws, none of which have anything to do with ammunition sales or for that matter firearms sales. I guess they just don't want the business. Oh well ignorance is bliss, and expensive bliss at that since I was considering asking them for a price quote on ammo for my PD...

Just goes to show how bad it can get; when companies refuse to do business with residents of a state that oppresses gun owners in order to cover their own a$$e$ from lawsuits and potential liabilities, the citizens are the ones that get the short end of that stick.
Maybe some of those citizens should get outraged enough to run the bad guys outta town? Maybe even organize a civil action?
Naah, that just smacks of effort, and besides, it never comes down to just one voice.

I agree. Or in the worst case scenario, move to a free state and take your tax dollars and voting power (for purposes of establishing representation in Congress) with you!

If all the pro-gun people in commie states did this, I'm sure it would have some noticeable effect on the state's tax base, and they might lose enough of their population to affect the number of Congressmen they get.

Money talks. Have you considered notifiying your conservation agency that you will not be purchasing a hunting license from the state anymore because of oppresive gun laws. You will be taking your hunting trips in a state where they respect your rights, and buying ammo, supplies, etc. in that other state. Anti-gun groups are not afraid to use boycott power, we should too.

Church notice: The bean supper will be held Tues. in the fellowship hall. Music will follow.

    Dear It7d101:
As you discovered, the folks at Kiesler's are generally a bunch of jerks. The shop where I used to work gave up trying to deal with these people. After a have dozen attempts to purchase things, we just gave up. If you look around a little harder, you will find that Kiesler's can't do anything for you that a good local shop can't. For example, Kiesler's is supposed to be one of the few Sig Law Enforcement dealers in my area. Well, on one occasion we tried to purchase a few mags for a local department and on another we tried to purchase about 50 pistols and 300 mags. Both efforts proved fruitless with Kiesler's. We looked a little harder and found better prices with other wholesalers. If you're looking ammo for your department, you local gun shop can probably help and at a good price. Explain who you are and exactly what you want in terms of caliber and quantity and manufacturer. A good dealer will be willing to settle for a small mark up compared to regular prices in the hope of getting more of your business and the desire to help the local PD. Since you're in NYS, the dealer probably has an account with ______ in Rochester and can get it shipped in a day or two. Best of luck -- Steve

I want all those ideas to work for you, but I have serious doubts about any direct efforts on the part of hunters and gun owners from haveing much effect. And by direct action I mean the hunters/shooters contacting any govt. agency directly and threatening to move, quit visiting/hunting/traveling there, etc. What might magnify your efforts in that regard is for a group of the hunters/shooters/ tourists, eetc. to directly contact the company/town/city/govt. agency/etc. and sadly mention that because of the antigun/hunting policy of that paarticular state you were going to have to cancel your trip. And of course let them realize that your money that they depend on will stay with you. In that regard to might get a result of the company/town/city/govt.agency complaining to that particular state that for years they had depended on your visits and now were going to lose you. A complaint like that ismore likely to get noticed and cared about.

When guns were invented everything changed. For the first time in the history of the world a frail woman had a chance to sucessfully defend herself and home. My dream is that one of the anti-gun nuts will need a gun for defense and be unable to have one because of their own actions.
