We need more gun control when...

Well whenever anything happens involving a criminal. In Chicago, there was a big workplace shooting. So practically everyone in the political arena and the media (same folks just different jobs) are doing the same old "we need more gun control" Of course the disarmed victims and their family chime in and even one of the local ministers now says Christians should be getting rid of their guns as owning a gun is tantamount to lack of faith in God. (Not sure where he gets that from as the Bible doesn't teach pacifism;in God we trust; it's those people who come into our homes and businesses brandishing weapons that just don't seem to be trustworthy.

Anyway this case is kinda of interesting. Disgruntled ex-employee comes in and shoots his former coworkers before being shot by the police. He had threatened them before, employer did nothing. He had a long criminal record with firearms, the authorities never sent him to jail. He could not legally buy a firearm. The gun was bought years ago and legally registered in Chicago. It was then sold to a Chicago policeman who then sold it to another Chicago policeman. Both are deceased and there was no paper trail, so we don't know how the perp got it. Obviously he didn't get it from the suburban gun shops that Mayor Dailey blames for this terrible crime. And of course all the victims are disarmed in strict observance of gun control which worked all too predictably.

So that's why we need more gun control. [:(]

Seems simple to me. You will always have nuts going crazy and deciding to get revenge by shooting up their workplace/school and then shooting themselves or accepting the fact they will either be caught by the police and imprisoned or shot and killed by the police. The ONLY thing a person in this frame of mind fears is being shot and stopped or killed the minute he pulls his gun and thereby fail in his mission. And the only way we can depend on this happening is if the average citizen is armed.

When guns were invented everything changed. For the first time in the history of the world a frail woman had a chance to sucessfully defend herself and home. My dream is that one of the anti-gun nuts will need a gun for defense and be unable to have one because of their own actions.

<sigh> I would much rather see them under the guillotine before innocents can be affected by their actions, too. The price to see this happen is just too great.

    Death to Tyrants!!! Lev 26:14-39

Those who would offer any interpretation that would relegate Amendment II to "relic" status of a bygone era are blatantly stating that the remainder of the Bill of Rights isn't worth a damn, either.

    Luke 22:36.
