Gun Rights group, other than the NRA

Anyone have any experiences ( good and/or bad ) with any other pro-gun rights groups other the "NRA" ?

pickenup's suggestions are all very good. The only ones I can think of other than those already mentioned are Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership, JPFO, and any local/state level gun rights organization. Mine is Rocky Mountain Gun Owners, RMGO, and they are very very effective. I would hope that you all would be so fortunate as to have a local/state level group such as this.But support for any group, excluding the NRA, is support for all of them.

Just went online and joined Gun Owners of America. I'm a proud member of the NRA as well, but it can't hurt to support as many pro-2nd groups as possible.

Other worthy causes are the Whittington Center in Raton, NM; they get NO funding from NRA, and are the largest shooting sports/hunting/camping venue in the world and rely solely on individual contributions, and your local chapter of the Shooting Sports Foundation; an offshoot of the NSSF at the national level-in NM, we have the NMSSA, or New Mexico Shooting Sports *'n, and these guys are rabid!!
