There's a town in Georgia that passed an ordinance along those lines a few years back. No crime in that town either.

Can we go back to the 2nd Amendment?

Any American should be able to intelligently discuss ALL of the Bill of Rights, not just 1 or 2.

Far too many people do not understand the events leading up to the creation of this nation or the rationale behind the Bill of Rights.

These were individual rights thought to be so important that they were specifically enumerated. There was a faction who thought these things so obvious that they did not need to be spelled out. Thank God for those who held out for the first 10 amendments.

We each should be able to discuss, on a factual basis, the reason for the 2nd amendment - to protect us from government gone awry. Far too many people are clueless to this. Civics and early american history are not taught or poorly taught, with a Decidedly Liberal flavoring, in our public schools. We need to shine the light of truth for these uninformed, misguided people.

(As far as not posting personal data online, consider this - should you be involved in a defensive shooting, and prosecuted by someone with a point to make, they are not above taking your computer and finding out where you go on the internet. Would you (or your lawyer) like to have ALL your posts subject to be used as evidence of your bloodthirsty, deranged desire and intent to kill Kill KILLLLLL!? I have guns to protect myself; I wear a seatbelt to protect myself; I don't provide personal information to protect myself. Same-Same, see?)

I WOULD agree with that statement..if we were in a state of comfort and security, with little to do but discuss the entire spectrum of human endeavor.

However...I believe that we are coming to the end of freedom in this country, under attack from forces within and without.

Given that position...I concentrate on the Amendment that is the most important..for without that right being freely exercised....all the rest are gone. That Amendment is the second one.....

I believe that I can take the measure of a man within a few sentences..by finding out his position on the Second Amendment.

    God,Guts,& GunsHave we lost all 3 ??

I concur highball.....I use it as a litmus test when i am first "feeling someone out" upon meeting them. Not necessarily a yes or no type thing , just ask the right questions and a person can find out alot about a persons mettle.[8D]

I agree that in many ways the 2nd amendment is the most important. With few exceptions, if you find a country where the citizens legally own guns then there is a good chance that is a more free country than one where the citizens cannot legally own guns.

We strongly recommend that you ( all freedom loving citizens ) Cast out of office any politicos (Republicans or DemocRATS ) that insist on voting for any anti-gun legislation . This is the year to send a message to the nitwits that would steal your rights and condemned free people to a slow socialistic death of a thousand cuts.

If you can't make it to the polls then make sure you get your absentee ballots in before you go to hunting camp this year.

What is at stake here will effect all free people even the unarmed give it up liberals who give up freedom for security . Today it's assault weapons next it handguns then shotguns until we are all unarmed. Ban Bear hunting today then birds and rabbits. It's a death by a thousand cuts.

We have 90 million free people who own firearms in this country . This 90 million heads households with , mothers , sons and daughters that live in these households . Even if only two people live in each home , that's 180 million votes .

Only half of the eligible people are using the power given to them by the constitution of these united states. The power is WITH THE PEOPLE , lets use it to take back this country from socialist nitwits that would put all of us under protective custody for our protection to suffocate from the will of a few to dominate the rest of us . Don't allow this to become a liberal world for the children you leave behind.

Stupidity starts it a school system run by
liberals . Take you children out of the government run schools and make them intelligent , give them common sense and the ability to think .
