    John Kerry stance on guns is much like Bush's..except he is honest about it.

    LET'S talk facts......

    Bush has not done 1 damn thing negative toward gun rights.

    Kerry says, proudly, that he wants a BAN on assault rifles and certain ammo,cheap pistols etc.
    Sounds pretty much like Klinton all over with the wishy washy foreign policy, tax theories and gun policies.

    How a true gun owner can vote for that idiot is incomprehensible to me....[:(!]

    Bush HAS;
    Increased funding to the Batf;
    Increased funding and manpower to Federal Gun law violations;
    Gave comfort to the enemy.."I will sign another AWB.."

    Done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to back up those brave words.."I support the Second Amendment.."

    In fact...I can make a good case that ANYONE who says..I will sign an AWB...and I support the Second Amendment...is perhaps clinically..'disturbed', shall I say ?

    I prefer a viper right out in front of me, thank you...

    Lets not forget Bushs opposition to arming pilots- I think even Kerry supported arming pilots.
    And how about Bush requesting the Supreme court to NOT hear the Emerson appeal? Yeah Bush is a real champion of gun rights.[B)]

    Oh please. The words "real position on second amendment issues" and "First freedom articles" is an oxymoron.
    I used to love reading those ridiculous campaign stum/interviews, where the NRA would interview "alleged" second amendment supporters like Bill Frist, Gordon Smith, Libby Dole, and their ilk. The person being interviewed would always say "I believe in the second amendment". Words are bliss arent they?Unfortunately, those at the NRA never feel it necessary to point out the voting records of these folks, which would clearly indicate these candidates "DONT believe in the second amendment". If we were to rely on words alone, NRA adversaries like Chuck Schumer, Ted Kennedy, HillBill Clinton, etc, would be AOK as far as the NRA is concerned, considering the candidates that they support say exactly the same thing, while voting for the same legislation that the "friends of the NRA" also vote for.
    I also find it remarkable how the NRA NEVER mentioned that George Bush was opposed to arming pilots-they would instead place the blame on the DEMOCRAT transportation secretary Minetta-ignoring the fact that Bush is Minettas boss, and what Minetta says, is what Bush wants. I also always enjoyed reading the NRA sSLAM McPain, Feingold, the Supreme court, etc, for the recently passed incumbent protection bill, yet they never seem to criticize GEORGE BUSH, the one person who not only could have killed the bill, but is the only one in government who was CONSTITUTIONALLY REQUIRED to kill the bill.

    most politicians believe in the second amendment.....as they interpret it....strict registration,strict licensing,no semi weapons(unless youre a policeman),10 shots or less in a mag,very expensive licensing proceedures to weedd out the poor, no cheap guns (see before).

    they believe in your right to shoot clays with a k5.

    i believed bush when he said if congress sent him an assualt weapons ban he would sign it. if he would, kerry would certainly do the same my votes staying home come november.

    forgot to add one more thing.im in ny, we have a permanent ban here anyway signed into law by the only republicans we get here. liberal republicans[:(!]

    Kerry for guns? Don't make me laugh. He has only voted one time this whole year, and he came off the campaign trail, along with that lawyer weasel from N. Carolina, to vote against guns. One vote this year...and it was AGAINST guns. That's all you need to know about this doofus. And he's as bad as Teddy boy, Chuckie Shumer and Hillary when it comes to guns.

    Beaten wife syndrome.

    Because the government (bush) ain't currently beating us,the gun=owners..we trust him again....Even tho he has promised to beat us again in the future..with an AWB signing...

    And besides,he is currently engaged in beating 'the other guy'..the "criminals" that have trasspassed on 'federal gun laws"..funding them to high heaven...

    What part of UnConstitutional is it so very difficult to understand ?

    Go ahead..support a regime that is actively,if not very publically,taking away your gun rights..it will make you feel better,down the road,when you can say.."But I didn't know.."..

    As I read the words posted by many in which they have given up on the Republicians AND the Democrats, I keep thinking the words, over and over "We NEED a viable 3rd & 4th party to vote for". But with the present voting structure IT AIN'T GONNA NEVER HAPPEN!

    JFK That #*+:~=*^#! Haven't you guys learned
    yet, Stupid is as stupid gets .
    You can't stay home and not vote , that crap
    for brains liberal next door to you will vote
    for the nit-wit every time , all they vote for is
    a big D after the name. You need to vote to
    cancel out his vote. GWB like his father may
    not be exactly what we would like but look
    at what else is offered . ( Clintons ) .
    The DemocRATS don't care what kind of snot
    heads they put in office only that they get
    the power back.
    They have been in power for the better part of 40 years.
    Thats 1964, before most of you were born. Let me tell
    you about that time .
    A kid was able to buy a gun without his parents , you could buy dynamite at the hardware store. You could have fireworks .
    It took them about 4 years ,1968 to stop all that good stuff from happening. Its been all down hill from that time till now.
    The youth of the day were responsible gun owners . A 15 year olds pride and joy was his rifle on the wall over his bed. The girl next door who liked boys. The hot rod in the driveway.
    It was a day when cats were an endangered species .
    It was a day when your mom could shoot better than you could.
    The only way to get it back is to grow up and vote
    smart , run for office and make changes.
    Check the links below and write your reps. , make noise
    it's the squeaky wheel that get greased .

    Keep right on voting,sucker..pretend that you have friends in high places.
    Ignore the fact that Republicans have brought just as much misery on your head as Democrats.

    Keep pretending to yourself that ANYBODY in the halls of Congress gives a rats * about the Constitution...

    God,Guts,& GunsHave we lost all 3 ??

    Why in the name of all that is holy do you think I am DEFEATIST ?

    Never defeatist..but a realist.

    Do you play craps against dice you KNOW are loaded ?

    Are you actually going swimming with 200 pounds of chain wrapped around your body ?

    Why persist in voting for people that hardly even pretend to honor the Constitution anymore..? Or has it not occured to measure the candidate against the Constitution ?

    For the sake of your country..measure the Constitutionality of a man stating.." I will sign an AWB if you put it on my desk.."

    If vote you must..pick the 10th man down the line..or however far down you must reach to actually find one that shows obediance to that Document...

    For God's sake..write in Ron Paul's name..perhaps the ONLY American left in our political system...

    Highball. You know we stand on the same side and see things very much the same. But I would encourage you, rather than giving up, to find a way to DEMAND that those "loaded" dice get replaced with honest dice and find a way to get rid of the "200 pounds of chain" before you go swimming. I have spent time, money and effort on trying to accomplish as much for me and my beliefs. Haven't succeded yet, but am still in the fight. As you such be because we need you.

    i am outraged that people professing to love democracy would even suggest we have to vote for the candidate with an r next to his name because thew libs are voting for people with a d next to theirs.i will vote for someone who represents my beliefs not some wolf in sheeps clothing that tells me he doesnt think i ought to have freedom but the other guy is worse. i have done that for the last few elections ,voting for the guy who smelled slightly better to me.ENOUGH. i will not do it anymore and if the other party wins because i did not vote for the crappy candidate they told me to vote for,so be it. perhaps next time, the republican party or some other party will put up a candidate that believes in the values that i do(and the heck of a lot of other people). i will then be happy to go and do my civic duty till then i'd rather not

    Longhunter;

    This is very difficult to say.

    Show me a candidate that cares about the Constitution..ALL OF IT..

    Show me something that will convince the Majority of the rightness of the Bill of Rights/Constitution..

    I will fight the political battle to the last dollar,given that..

    Nothing there.We cannot beat insurmountable odds..the Socialists control the hearts and minds of the people.

    I believe that it is time to prepare your heart and mind for hard times..because the Socialists are going to bring them upon Americans heads.They are doing it today,with the blessings of the majority..who just want to "feel safe"..and to hell with freedom.

    2gun; Yep..a lot of us feel the same outrage.I cannot understand people that defend those in power engaged in imploding the Constitution.

    I do understand..I really do...would you explain Highball what you've against the libertarian Party,or the constitutionalist Party... I realize that at this point it seems they could'nt make it,however I also must assume there is something that is holding you back from them as well.As far as being ready friend,you know how I feel about that.L.H.

    LH;

    Voting for either party you mentioned is far better then voting DemoPublican.
    I intend looking into the candidates offered by those 3..4 th line parties...Even worked in the campaign locally for Libertarian for a number of years. Know some mighty good folks in that party.

    Unfortunately...none of them are of the stature of Ron Paul..with his willingness to tell the truth about the Constitution and the limits of Federal power...

    In the final tally,tho...ANY VOTE TAKEN AWAY FROM THE MAJOR PARTIES IS STRIKING A BLOW FOR AMERICA...Those two parties..DemoPublican..are going to be the death of this country.
