Has Microsoft become Anti-gun?

montanadigitalfilms2montanadigitalfilms2 Member Posts: 3 ✭✭
The email below is an exact copy (except for my return email address) of an email I received from Microsoft's bCentral division this January(2005) . Before this I had had no problems advertising DVDs on reloading. It is not clear if this is a policy by Microsoft or just the action of some people in this division. The entire header is available if anyone needs to verify the authenticity of this text.

If it is a new policy of the Microsoft company to ban the "any mention of guns" I think every hunter and gun enthusiast has a right to know this.

Bill Gates personally funded a gun control bill in Washington State a few years ago.

Just another Socialist getting filthy rich in freedom...and working to limit freedom for the commoners out there.

I bet Gates' thinking might actually change if he were ever to personally become a victim of a violent crime, or if an intruder broke into his home and threatened his family. Would he still say common citizens don't have a right to defend themselves, or would he run straight down to the local gun shop and buy himself a blaster and learn how to use it[?] Hmmm......[:)]

Sure looks like policy to me.

TGR, if somebody breaks into his house they probably won't get past the guards. [;)]

I'm not surprised one tiny bit.

If you've got more money than an army of spenders could spend in a lifetime, you can buy all the citizen rights you want or need. And if that is the case most such people aren't the least bit interested in helping to increase or even perserve the common citizens rights.

That is why is it imperative that we common people continually pool our money and resources to not only fight a government that wants our rights, but rich and powerful people who feel that by diminishing the rights of common citizens they are increasing their own rights.

And the reason this concept is dangerous to common citizens like you and me is because it a workable plan for the rich and powerful. Consider: if only the government, police, militrary AND THE RICH AND POWERFUL are legally allowed to have guns we common citizens have lost our rights but the rich and powerful still have their.

And now their rights are "superior" rights, just the way they like it.

Please remember this the next time you get one of those never ending and annoying requests for donatations from any good pro-gun rights group that is out there trying to help you hang onto your rights.

Sorry, JamesRK! What was I thinking? How could I forget the guards? I bet they're armed with AK's, or maybe even (Heaven forbid!) one of those evil "black rifles"![;)]

Has everyone forgotten Rosie O Donnel? Her body guards carry guns to protect her and her kids while she heads the Million Mom March to take away your right to own a gun

To disarm the populace is the best, most effective way to enslave them.

    Death to Tyrants!!!
    Lev 26:14-39

Those who would offer any interpretation that would relegate Amendment II to "relic" status of a bygone era are blatantly stating that the remainder of the Bill of Rights isn't worth a damn, either.
