Terrorist SUSPECTs Buying Guns

What do you all think of the handwringing that has been going on lately about terrorist suspects being able to buy guns?
If you'd like details of this issue, check out my blog post:

In short, I've been reading news stories and hearing talk show hosts whine about the NRA and gun nuts pressuring Bush to continue to let people on terrorist watch lists and other suspects buy guns rather than infringe on their 2nd Amendment rights. The media consensus is "We've got to stop this!".
I say if they haven't been convicted the government should have no power to mess with any of their rights, as "suspiction" is not justification for oppression.
What say you?
