It occures to me that many of the "arguments" for registration, etc,etc,etc could be applied to some of the other Ammendments (like Speech and Press)
For example: the argument that "Nobody needs and assualt rifle" could be compared to saying "nobody needs a high-quality digicam" because they don't need higher quality than TV to replay their home movies and the digicams are what pornographrs use and porn is really bad for our society so lets ban/register digicams and tax all the recording media they use and have serial numbers registered and have the cameras record their serial number on every image. . . . .[;)]
I'm sure there are others we can think of [}:)]
