Hello...hello...hello...is there anybody in here...just nod if you can hear me... is there anyone at home...This place is a ghost town. Did everyone win the lottery the same day? I'll go create three more user names and have a meaningful conversation about shootin' and killin' and Man stuff... I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. I showered, and my clothes are clean. I don't get it. I even brushed my teeth! Damn........[:D]

    not much intelligence scattered around there, but action....around here, we tend to weigh our words..(well..some do..)

    Me....I just got home from work..that which keeps the wolf from the door.
    Most are plain burned out on this forum. I think the argument with TrFox discouraged some...the depth of difference between those willing to 'give up just a little more"...and those not willing was revealed in all its stark uglyness.
    Tr is a decent man..what then does that mean about those of us unwilling to work with the enemy in the process of putting a rope around our OWN necks....?

    Hey Fellas,
    Good to see your all alive and well. I don't really feel like stirrin' up much trouble. I'm kinda' worn from all the trouble earlier in the week. Ja, the week has been a long one. I find that the only release I have from the rigors of building homes is coming on here and rappin' wit da' boyz.

    So what's up. Anybody from around Texas/Louisiana way? I think it's going to be a bad one. We shall see. Do we have any gun control issues on any states agenda right now? I know, I know Highball, we're not fighting anymore but I'd still like to keep up on what's happening. I was quite bored today aside from three mini fires at the office, so I played weatherman on GD. Is that "last one to post thing still goin' on?[:)]

    There's a post in general about a northern state trying to do some gun control damage. Think it's Wisconsin or Minnisota(sp?), one up in that area.

    Was out paying the bills all day yesterday (working out-of-town). My parents are coming in this weekend to visit, so I will probably be rather quiet on the forum.

    I still try to check in regularly, but if I don't have anything relevant to say then I keep my mouth shut. No reason to fill this forum with the diarhea we see in the GD forum.

    Unfortunatly, most gun owners (and quite a few on the GD board) see gun ownership as a hobby, sporting tool (hunters), or for self-defence.

    I see it as all 3....but its more than that. It is a god-given right. Firearms ownership increases the safety of the nation as a whole.....

    Whoever said "An unarmed man is a subject. An armed man is a citizen" said it best.....

    Absolutely we should keep up with gun laws.One MUST know what the enemy is thinking and doing Always...
    Guns/sporting use is one thing that the Second Amendment DOES NOT cover..oddly enough. One COULD make an argument that any gun suitable ONLY for sporting use could be banned....there go all them high dollar double barrels...[:D]

    I ..rightly or wrongly..place the 'sporting use gun owner' in exactly the same class as Fiendstein/Shumer/Kennedy...only worse. They are Trojan Horses..pretending to support the Second Amendment..while giving aid and comfort to the enemy...Quiselings, in another war...

    You know ,I realized just the other day, I've always had a gun or two since I was about 15. I never really gave it much thought (gun ownership). I guess I never invisioned that it could go away and I never thought of what those consequences would be. Five or so years ago, I heard about the "Assault Weapons" ban. Yeah, I know, I missed the first 6 years of it. When I came to realize this, I was pissed. I started putting 2+2 together and low and behold WHAM reality right between the eyes. Nobody was going to tell me I CAN'T have something. I ran out and bought a Glock 17. Ever since that day of enlightenment, I have been agressively attacking the laws from every angle one guy can. Oh, and I bought a snit load of guns since then. Mostly AR-15's in the last year. Anyway, I have sent letters, emails, phone calls, and participated in boycotts. What difference have I made? I managed to make "the list", I'm sure. Other than that not a damn bit. So, since I can't do it that way I buy all the guns I can. Most of them through private sales and then I stash them at family and friends houses. Except most of the ones I have to do 4473's on. Those are in the safe along with the 'Big Boy' .50BMG. That's for a special occassion[}:)]. I don't know why I felt the need to share that but, there yah go!

    Understood..completely.

    My cynisism comes about after 40 years of watching 'gun people' working hand in glove with those seeking to disarm us, the US....base line, these people are too weak, too trusting,too stupid...TOO SOMETHING..to be associated with any more.

    In the old days, people ostracised those that didn't conform to some degree of societal humanity....

    I think anti-gunners and their fellow-travelers out to be pointed out and made objects of ridicule..and made to understand the price they will pay for shi**** on the Constitution.

    I speak of the "Compromisers"..those willing..eager,even...to give up some more rights in the forlorn hope that the Socialists will be appeased..and leave us alone for another few years...

    I speak of those unwilling to even THINK about what they do..feeding the beast, as they decide "intelligently' that this or that gun law is a wonderful thing to have...

    I speak about those willing to trade their rights for 'security'..because they are afraid to take a hand in a robbery or gun abuse situation..so they turn over their rights to the local cop and bow out of their duty....
