Arnold terminates lame anti-gun law!

California's latest lame anti-gun law AB 996 which would have required all retailers of ammunition to keep all ammo behind the sales counter where only store staff would have access to it was vetoed by Governor Schwarzenegger on Friday! Thank God! That would have been a major hardship for some shops who don't have room behind the counter for all the ammo they carry. The proposed law was supposed to cut down on ammo theft but it was really just another ludicrous attempt by the anti-gun crowd in the California legislature to make things more difficult for gun shops and law abiding gun owners. In his veto message, Arnold said, "This bill is unnecessary because there has been no documentation of a problem with the theft of ammunition from retail establishments." A small but important victory!

The pendulum swings back and forth with the self correcting nature of our electorate's common sense winning out. The extremism of the fool Jimmy Carter gave way to eight years of Ronald Reagan. The extremist anti gun policies of Florio in NJ are being eroded by the common sense of the people allowing most of the weapons that were once banned. Will California swing back? Give it time, the loser policies, fiscal, social and firearms related will change slowly as people are fed up with foolishness that restricts rights and solves no problems. No one thought Gray Davis could possibly lose when he was elected. Gone he is with Arnold now in charge. Give it time.
