State of our country and what you see happening

jaflowersjaflowers Member Posts: 698 ✭✭✭✭
I try and read allot about global economy and US issues. Lately everything I read just looks worse. Foreign governments quitely getting rid of US dollars in favor of precious metals. Oil soon to be able to be purchased in currency other than the dollar. The US economy numbers looking worse every day and finally being publicized as such, usually this is held quite. I don't want to sound all doom and gloom but I am actually pretty worried about what the next couple of years hold for us. I have lots of ammo, guns, gold and silver and a bit of land near my family but still I just have this horrible feeling we are close to seeing the civil war/ US depression. What are some of your thoughts or things you are looking at? [V]

    Absolutely inevitable.
    The only question being..."When".

Hope for the best...prepare for the worst.(I am guilty of plagerism here...I just read it on General..sorry..but still oh-so-true..)

That frankly is all we can do...the collapse will happen in its own time. The Elites are raping the country..they see very well what is happening. They are grabbing all they can, while the getting is good.

Screw the silver and gold. Lead is your most precious metal. That, and the knowledge it will take to sustain you. Knowledge of home/gun repair, breeding and care of animals, growing crops and canning/food preservation, rudimentary medicine/surgery.

same as yours. i also read a lot of other forums and people are talking the same talk, which is worrisome, hopefully later than sooner -- gives more time to prepare, but like highball said is inevitable.

i would also add, and hopefully it isn't late, start getting this idea into heads of people whose head is usually up their * (most of my friends are of the kind), those capable will listen, those who won't -- aren't really worth it.

and have a good contingency plan.

Now is not the time to despair. No gloom, no doom.

WE ARE AMERICANS..we overcome. There are few of us...3%...ENOUGH.

Watch events unfold...as corrupt leaders try and dig our graves...believe NOTHING they say. They are masters of deceit. Watch instead what they DO..or DON'T...do. As they spew out glorious plans, platforms,"Wars on This and That"..watch as your personal freedoms keep dimishing...your buying power getting smaller every day...taxes going up steadily..as the Elites move ever nearer their dreams of total power over you and I...

Prepare yourself and your family for hard times. Prepare yourself mentally for the loss of long-time friends..neighbors..and family..as they decide that you are crazy.
Keep your nose clean..obey the laws.
Obey ALL laws...until they pass that final one that no American will obey. The most obvious one will be a gun ban..but the weasels may have other laws up their sleeves that are just as odious...

I agree with a lot of the data posted here but I wonder: Why did the Brits give up their guns, why did the Canadians allow registration and the turn in of handguns, why did the Austrailians allow the gov to grab all the semi-autos, pumps and handguns. Nobody fired a shot! What happended?

I know the Ausies had some protests, but they kept them out of the news. No shots were fired they turned in the guns.

Why would it be any diffenent here? What will happen? I seriously think it will be the same here, like sheep we will turn them in out of fear of repercussions. Maybe bury them in the backyard but thats about it.

I will throw in one more answer/statement.

"Why would it be different HERE...???"

Because we are Americans...at least some of us are. The spirit of freedom runs in our blood...and chains sit poorly on our shoulders.

As strange as it may sound, I think we have a nice numbers advantage, if it all comes to pass...if 3% of Americans would be willing to fight, that would give us somewhere close to 8.5 million.

8.5 million Wacos, Ruby Ridges, North Hollywoods, ect......

The whole system would collapse, it couldn't deal with 5% of that.

Maybe there is hope after all.....

    Indeed.
May I remind you...None of those actions inflicted much damage on the King's Men...evidence at Waco (three killed) and Ruby Ridge (one killed) showed that the wounds were likely from government weapons.

Think about DECENT Americans..that know how/when to shoot..actually doing the firing. Given the history, many people consider that the Beast is invulnerable. The actual fact is..simple-minded twerps and criminals are about the only 'history' there is.

The average good Citizen is still hoping desperately that there will be a total turnaround.

I expect that to happen momentarily..[:(]

    Highball:

Taking us on one at a time may be one thing. What should happen if enough people figure out what's going on and act in concert?

You say "It'll never happen." We'll see. My money will be on us, should another Katrina or LA Riots occur. That might actually be where the first shots are fired.

    Things don't look good.....do they?

Doom and gloom has been predicted before. But never in our history have circumstances been what they are today. Should you fret and let it consume you? NO. Although the importance of being aware, of what is going on, IS paramount. Sticking your head in the sand, is for the sheeple. They are good at looking through rose colored glasses, unable to see that there are any problems. It is easier to deal with life that way. They will call you paranoid, a nut case, or a terrorist, for daring to question the direction we are being lead.

As for fighting. They create this ILLUSION of invulnerability by having an overwhelming force in place. Moving in 25 JBT's for each person, one side using rifles, when the other side has tanks, the outcome is virtually guaranteed. Which is their MO.

One on one, not being given the TIME to muster their forces, they are just as vulnerable as any other group. One of their greatest fears is, if any opposition, were to become organized. Imagine the possibilities if we (as gunphreak said) were able to "act in concert." You can bet your life, they will be.

That being said, who is going to be doing the fighting? Will it be brother against brother, father against son? Patriot against anyone with a badge/uniform? Whites against "non-whites?" Which side will the illegal immigrants be on, if any? Seeing an internal struggle, will any other nation(s) take advantage of the unrest?

The soldiers in the field are being "sent" by the elites, who are closed up behind impenetrable doors. How would you be able to effect any change, if unable to cut the "head" off of the BEAST? Would they run out of soldiers to send against us? What lengths would they be willing to go to, to retain their seat(s) of power?

What would be the goal? I would think, to re-establish the Constitution. But how? Voting would obviously be the BEST way, but consider, voting is what has gotten us TO this point in history. With the sheeple brainwashed the way they are, there will NOT be enough good people (if any) voted into office (in time) to effect any measurable change for the better. It is too late for that. Is revolution the answer, and again, to what goal, and more importantly..HOW? Questions I ponder.

As a parting shot, I will steal a motto I learned long ago, "Be Prepared" Just in case. [;)]
Think about ways of becoming organized. You can't do it all on your own.

thinking about it doesn't get the job done, but there so few who see the potential danger of what's happening right now, everyone else would think you've lost it. then there's an issue with security, and so on and so forth.

    Pickenup,
I agree. This had been said before but you are right that our country has NEVER been in this state before. My friends who have a glimps of an idea that I buy ammo, relading supplies, gold and silver are all reasonably smart but they don't even see the "writing on the wall". I personally don't see it taking much of a spark to set this wohle thing on fire. It's just a scary situation our leaders have put us in. I personally think we are in for a depression that makes the last one look like a fun time. We will see riots all over the nation and a total fall of the US Fed dollar. I don't know, I think Rodney Dangerfeild said it best, "Look out for number on or you might step in number two". Good luck to you all.

This is really the crux of the matter. No one will stand and fight if they believe the USA will cease to be the USA. The founding fathers constitution must be restored. A unrevocable Bill of Rights must be put into effect that include the steepest penalties for attempting to remove those basic rights. The founding fathers could never have envisioned how stupid and pathetic the people of this nation would become though they warned against many actions that we have taken. The Bill of Rights would have to be carefully crafted. It would have to be set in stone, no room for courts to throw it out. The biggest danger I see is that once revolution starts, it is hard to stop. Who will attack the fresh new baby government in it's crib?

If I were given the task of taking over a large group of well armed, intelligent, freedom loving people, I would be unable to do a better job than to do what has happened to us over the past 50 years.
    1) Dumb down the education system- Lessen standards, put the "reform school" students in with the general population, over crowd the classrooms, overburdon the whole system with illegals.

    2) Use the media to foster your anti-gun agenda to the public, use the school system to teach the youth that guns are bad. Politicians can pass laws to gradually loosen the grip of the public on their guns, with the ultimate goal of a total ban.

    3) Let large numbers of legal and illegal aliens into the country. This will help in a number of ways. It dillutes the vote of the freedom loving to have millions of socialists suddenly in the voting booth's as well, it overburdens the entire system while at the same time eliminating the jobs of the freedom loving folks leaving them penniless and powerless. Their ancestors did not fight for freedom in this country and most don't have a clear idea of freedom is to start with, it's like something you have heard about but have never actually seen up close. That last part sounds like a lot of us.

This sounds all too familiar to me, but too few care enough to make a difference and they'd just be out voted anyway. As for me, I say if you won't fight for your rights then you deserve none. I take mine with me wherever I go and try to display them prominently for all to see. You should see the confusion that creates![:D]

    Eric,

You may be incorrect about America not being mentioned in end-time
prophecy. Tarshish, according to many so-called scholars speaks
of a general location rather than a specific one. The "isle" of
Tarshish seems to be England. And Tarshish shall join Gog and Magog
in their effort to destroy Israel. Along with England, shall be the
"young linons therof" spoken by Eziekiel in chapters 38 and 39.
The young lions meaning the "UNITED" kingdom of Great Briton as
well as Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and the US of A.

Surprise! Surprise! Surprise! We, as a nation, will not be
righteous and will not be on the side of our Father in heaven
during the upcoming war! (That's all this confusion and evil
we see around us taking place here and now) We will, after all, return to the days of Noe and of Sodom and Gomorrah as predicted by
    Jesus in Matthew chapters 23 & 24.

Who will attack the baby government? At this point, who cares?
I am of the mind that FREE men need NO government! To be governed
    is to be CAPTIVE!

That's the problem with our founding Fathers. They failed to
adequately define "a government OF the people, FOR the people,
    and BY the people"!

Until we do that, we waste time and effort.

I've read of this arguement before, but I believe it to be incorrect. Tarshish was a specific place, and it was not England. We actually had this debate on the GD board a while back. I'm not very good at doing searches, or I would go back and find it for you.

Here is an article on the subject that you may find interesting. I have not read the whole thing, but it speaks of the modern day location of Tarshish...which is modern day Spain: http://www.raptureready.com/featured/AmericaInBibleProphecy.html

    In my opinion......

I think it's important to reflect upon the fact that in that last two decades, capitalism has taken root - no matter how small - in what was once the U.S.S.R and also China. Trade with other nations, including the inequity of our buying more from them than we sell to them is one of the greatest ways to develop a working relationship and maintain an on-going peaceful co-existence. I know it sound s simplistic but we are perhaps the largest single customer that any of the world's exporting countries has. The more they sell to us, the harder it becomes for them to sever ties with us down the road. Money has always been a great motivator of people.

We are no longer the leading industrialized manufacturing nation that we once were and we haven't been for several decades. We are "marketers" for other nations.

As for oil, Americans are their own worst enemy there. The SUV's, cars and trucks got bigger and bigger, consumption increased sharply and demand went steadily up and through the roof. Supply. Demand. If you were selling an item that was is great demand and that very few others had, what would YOU do? Lower or raise the price?

Have you noticed how many Hummers are sitting in the car dealers' lots? Hard to get on the waiting list for a hybrid or 40+ mpg economy car. Supply. Demand.

Cheer up. It's not all gloom and doom. Ours is a great country and we will weather the current storm and be stronger. Of that I have no doubt.
