CAL and NJ gun law question

I see it all the time on antique gun sales on this site-
"No sales to NJ, CAL, Mass NYC",
I have read my copy of the cal gun laws and no where does it say you canot own an antique firearm.
What am I missing-
where does it say that you cant sell to CAl.

    Its more along the lines of what Ronnie Barret has to say in regards to his selling of the 50BMG's to kali police departments. CLean up the gun laws in those states, and possibly someone will start selling to them again.
