I don't mean to smack of smartass, but did you contact your local sherrif? I would start there when I had questions over weapons.

Actually, I wouldn't bother contacting the sheriff. Contact a lawyer. I know I won't. Cops don't know everything about the law, and may give you what they think the law should say. I know this even better than any of you do... trust me.

That has been my experience. To make a long story short, I contacted the PA state police to find out what was legally necessary for me to bring a rifle to New York to go hunting, traveling through New Jersey to get there. The PA state police told me I had to go to a local PA state police to "register" the rifle-which was complete horsepoop.
If you need to know the law, loo it up yourself, or call a lawyer-thae last thing you should do is contact cops or government lawyers.

it depends how old you are, where you carry it, and if you have a CCW (concield carry permit) yes you have to have one for knives, battons, mace, brass kunckles, or any weapon you carry concield for that matter... on the knives it also depends on how big of a KA-Bar you are talking. if you are talking about the Marine Corp. combat fighting big Crocodile dundee "thats not a knife...this is a knife" knife then i would probably say that it is not ok. but like the posts said to be absolutely sure check with both local law enforcement and a lawyer in the area.
