How much more simpler could this be?

Well, in a realistic, sensible world, this thought would be universely understood and agreed upon. When students, or anyone for that matter, are being shot at and running, hiding, pleading,or cooperating with the shooter is not saving them, and the police are not there to save them, then the students need to be able to shoot back.

The current definition of realistic and sensible includes the following four statements.
'If he was just prevented from getting such huge magazines, fewer would be dead.'
'We've been focused on black rifles for so long, just look what the crazies have done to handguns.'
'We have not had a massacre like this in California because we have banned high cap magazines for both rifles and handguns.'
'These automatic pistols are not even legal for hunting. Their only purpose is to kill people, and lots of them.'
Ms. Pelosi and the Brady Bunch are champing at the bit to bring a little California-style sensibility to the rest of the country. These defenseless kids will not even be cold before the assault will be launched.
It is not enough to just 'stock up on high cap mags while you can', we have to address these arguments immediately, calmly and factually. The sad fact is that the 2nd Amendment means nothing in this argument, as the AWB has already softened the populace to feel-good bans and nation-wide restrictions.
We need to point out that these kids were disarmed by the very feel-good legislation intended to protect them.
We need to point out that a single concealed weapon in the possession of someone with the inclination to use it would have saved most of these lost lives.
We need to point out that the high-cap magazine that they will want to ban may not be necessary in countering this specific threat, but that banning the magazine will certainly be a limitation on the person who is trying to stop the slaughter more so than on the one perpetrating it.

Yup, or teachers.
