This story is sad: http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/04/18/commentary.plate/index.html?eref=rss_topstories
I have sent letters to Canon, careerbuilder.com, and Intel relating to this article. Check them out, and please consider sending them yourselves.
Letter ---
Dear Canon:
I am an American gun owner who has recently seen your advertisement on a cnn.com article related to gun violence. The author, Tom Plate wrote a scathing commentary on gun owners, and called for gun bans. I find this completely unacceptable.
I understand that you are not responsible for this man's comments, but I am disappointed to see your brand name associated with a media outlet that promotes this viewpoint.
I believe that it would be wise for you to consider removing your advertising from this particular media outlet.
I will be watching the advertisements to appear on cnn.com.
Enclosed is a copy of the article.
Thank You For Your Time,
---
I figure the best way to attack cnn is to go after the sponsors.
