I allready have a Taurus 357 tracker 7 shot. Like the gun and want to deer hunt (maybe) this fall with it. NOW today my cousin sold me his 357 Taurus in 8 shot version. I didn't NEED it, but I guess I must have really wanted it. Yet another gun to buy ammo for [:)] .I think I have an addiction, am I alone?

In my opinion, all things being equal, a 7-shot .357 Magnum double action revolver would my choice for the ideal all-purpose handgun. Be it self-defense, combat, or hunting, I think this gun would fit the bill all around.

8-shot is even better. Congratulations, you have chosen wisely.

Dang! And here I was going to brag about the near new condition Ruger GP-100 stainless .357 mag revolver I just bought used for only $320.00.

But sadly it is only a 6 shot. Luckily I am a good shot and will have no need of the 7th or 8th round.[:o)]

Don't you fret, Fox. My blued GP-100 4-inch is what sits in my nightstand every night. [:D]

Look at it this way... what takes some to do in 7 or 8, we can do in 6 or less. [8D]

P.S. The guy you bought the GP-100 stainless from, he got any more he selling for $320? Dang good deal!

Got the GP 100 in blue with 4" also. It's a lot better than Nyquill for a good nights sleep.
My wife complains of the noise and recoil so she has a single six 22 mag on her side. Says she's a better shot and doesn't need a great big round to get r done.[:D]

My wife's got the scattergun. I've told her to be absolutely sure I am BEHIND her when she uses it.

She claims the GP-100 is too big for her little hands.
