Could it be that the General Discussion folks are finally waking up?

The Gun Rights forum ebs and flows quite a bit. There have been times when we have gone a month or two with perhaps a dozen posts. But I have to say this forum usually only gets posts when someone has something meaningful to say, as opposed to the constant mindless chatter of General Discussion.

    We value quality over quantity.

Perhaps a new forum mascot? The Black Wolf?

first time posting on this forum.

i never trusted the NRA in the first place. i have read the literature, talked to people, read the posts and i still have no trust in them. i have watched as our rights have eroded away little by little in may states and cities and all they offer in return is "it's ok. we'll let them have this, and we get to keep this." which is still less than we had in the beginning. i will never join a group that compromises my liberties.

Although I am a life member, for a number of years now, I too am disappointed with the current situation going on at the NRA. They seem to have lost their direction. I have found that the 2nd Amendment Foundation has picked up the pace and are really firing off some good lawsuits that are taking their toll on the anti-gun movement. You might want to check out their website and start supporting them with your donations instead of the NRA. I know I have. J.H.

madjack, I hope that you also support GOA in addition to the SAF. GOA is a lobby, while SAF is an educational organization.

I see the GOA as the full fledged NRA replacement. We do need groups like SAF and JPFO, but the GOA is the one that tells us where the politicians stand.

I for one haven't supported the NRA for years, and I won't be supporting them until they decide to figure out whose side they are on.

    Yep,.........I'm done!
I WILL read my American Rifleman magazine until my expirattion in November of 2008, but no more dough from me.
I did make a call to them to see if I could get a pro-rated refund of my dues,.........I did it to get my point across, and to be a pain! I know they are not going to refund dues![;)] Not even a comment when I said I was interested in cancelling my membership! They are too big to have any concern at all.
My stickers on my truck, and house window are gone, as well as the tag I had on my pushbar.
    Bye-bye![}:)]

Yeah, I wish more people were at least a little bit educated in what 2A stands for. Most CA guns owners, especially new ones, are very happy with the way things are going and are actually advocating tighter control on gun ownership. But it's just reiterating the same thing: we've already lost our free speech, 2A is long gone, BOR is just a meaningless historical document, and once immigration from countries like Mexico, Russia and various European socialist scum will reach a certain point they'll be more than happy to crucify freedom loving Americans. Not to mention our own home grown brainwashed lefties.
