What would it TAKE to fight?

The way I see it, resisting the government is something that too many people think is difficult, impossible, or even suicidal.

I think it's one of the easiest things to do in the world.

All it takes to resist the government, is to not do what they tell you to. Everything hinges on that simple decision.

Of ALL the intimidating powers, technologies, and tactics that the government has at its disposal, the only thing they can do to defeat you once you've made that decision, is to make you recant it.

Once you have that in your mind, why don't you chip in? Lots of you already answered whether you WOULD fight. What do you think it would take to fight?

    Civil Disobedience.;
    Actually, I believe that that is happening all across America ..today, not just 200-odd years ago.
    As the power continues to consolidate and coalesce and become every more draconian, common folks evade all they can ..at least while the Beasts' gaze is directed somewhere else.
    Eventually, there will come the law that will ignite the passions of the last remaining Americans.scattered and fragmented that they are.

    What law ? I know not ..else I would actively attempt to get it passed. I believe it is long passed time that people make up their minds..

    Are they American ?
    Or are they vassals of corrupt, evil little men.doing the work of the Beast.

    Support gun control ? You are a Vassal.
    Support either major party ? You are a Vassal
    Support a rotten, corrupt government ? Vassal

    Support organizations that purports to fight for our Rights.yet conspires with the enemy to deprive you of those Rights ? VASSAL.

    The movement has begun, friend. .the movement nation wide to first identify the enemy in out midst..the gun owner that supports the Beast.
    One CANNOT come together until the cancer is rifted from the ranks of the strong.

    The very fact that many people are now questioning other gun owners..right here on this forum, for example.is proof positive that the spirit of freedom is beginning to stir sluggishly in the veins of the Freeborn of America.
    The real problem is.most born here in America are not Americans.

    They are parasites.

    The problem that I now see is that those who are currently disobeying the government tend to be the anarchistic left-wingers, many of whom live in San Francisco and Seattle. They may protest by not paying taxes, driving away from the gas pump without paying, and consuming many forms of illegal drugs. I have dealt with these types all of my life. They are unwashed heathens that think freedom means a joint in their hand and unrestricted access to pornography. They could care less about the Rights of Man or the Constitution. They are opportunists, thieves, and parasites. Yet these are the disobedient few that I think you see manifesting in our society. I have no desire to ally or align myself with these deviant types.

    The danger of a legitimate protest forming in this country based on Constitutional principles is that these anarchist types would immediately jump onto the movement, thus dragging it down and further discrediting it in the eyes of the public. I have most recently seen this happen in Ron Paul's campaign. It was a sad thing to attend a speech given by an intelligent Constitutionalist, yet to see a good portion of the crowd consist of pierced and tattooed gutter trash with filthy dreadlocks in their hair. It was the same crowd that I saw at Rage Against the Machine concerts in the late 1990s, the same crowd that rioted in the streets of Seattle during the 1999 WTO meetings, the same crowd that wore the Che Guevara t-shirts when I was in college. The only thing these people stand for is getting high, getting off, and getting one over on YOU.

    Beyond these anarchist misfits, where do you see legitimate segments of society protesting the current state of affairs? How are they protesting? And more importantly, how do their protests relate back to an assertion of their basic Human Rights and a demand that the Federal Government adhere to the Constitution? I do not see these protesters yet, instead I see most people just looking to get ahead. They could care less about their own rights, let alone the rights of others.

    Sorry, Wounded Wolf;

    While understanding that it weakens or nullifies my arguing point ..it would be shear folly for me to enumerate ANY instances I may or may not be privy to.

    The only reason to do so would be to brace the Beast in a court of law.and nobody I know feels a hope in hell of beating the Beast in courts he owns lock, stock, and barrel ..and none of which operate within the Constitution.

    When a tyrant has reached the point of slinging ones' butt in jail forever with no trial, no evidence and no contact with the outside.One does what one has to do and keeps his mouth shut.

    I understand, Highball. I will take it on face value that you are witnessing decent people trying to make a change... and for the right reasons at that.

    I just haven't seen it in my neck of the woods. I only notice the delinquents and the opportunists that have been around for years. But perhaps those that are true to the cause are just hiding their tracks better.

    Things have gone to far. If you are depending on protests and the courts to save America you have already lost. Our founders clearly spelled out what must be done in the Declaration of Independence.

    There are enough guns in the hands of willing people in this country to take it back. Problem is ... organization of those people. Like I've always heard and strongly believe in ... There's Strength in Numbers! You can't go against them by yourself, so planning, organizing and more planning to prepare for that day. IF that day were to ever come. Its in the Constitution to protect ourselves from the government gone astray.
