Chicago's mayor

hegshegs Member Posts: 2 ✭✭
What is the problem with the Chicago Mayor? He just doesn't seem to get it! His city is fraught with gun crime and illegal firearms in the hands of gang members and other criminals. The only way to solve his crime ridden streets is to allow concealed carry laws to be passed in Ill. Criminals down't respect the law! They love the mayor because he has created a safe crime zone in his city. Only law abiding concealed carry permit holders, trained and background checked will ever be able to plant fear in the hearts of gamg members and criminals. While he is at it he should create a drug program in Chicago where those addicted could buy drugs from the government, instead of drug dealers. He could even offer them a discount price if they enroll in a rehab situation, where a doctor will try to get them safely off of drugs. Chicago could teach the whole nation how to defeat the drug trade and wipe out gang drug traffic.

Your post was making sense, up till you posted what I quoted.

Perhaps the mayor of Chicago isn't the only one who doesn't get it. [xx(]

The mayor of Chicago and the governor of the State of Illinois do not get it. Chicago has some of the strictest gun laws in the country and the highest crime rates. As a resident of Southern Illinois, I vote to send them both off the island.

And just today the POS was on the news saying how the city is $400 million in debt. They currently have the highest sles tax in the country and the POS wants to put city employees on "furlough" but they still have to work but just not get paid.
That way they can still hire their friends and family, line their pockets while continuing to violate the constitution.
Just heard the city spent $111 million of the tax payers money settling lawsuits last year alone. Yes from false arrest and cop beatings, scandals, wrongfully imprisoned people ect.

Just total scum.....BTW the state as a whole is $2 billion in debt.
And they want to spend the teachers pension to solve that problem AGAIN!!

Bad government CANNOT exist without scum putting them back in office.

    That simple.

Blame the REAL disease...not the symptom of that disease.

Just as we must blame gun owners that EVER vote for anti-gunners for gun laws..we must blame voters for corruption in government.

OH really? That kind of thinking is part of the problem.
So when a politician lies to get elected then does the opposite becomes corrupt it's the voters fault?

What happens when all the candidates are scum?
Obama or McCain either way we lose...BIG. Voters fault I suppose?
We can't depend on anyone to do what's right so how we gonna win?
People have lost all conception of whats right/the constitution.
Good luck convincing anyone what's really right.

One combats the problem by no longer voting for scum.

    PERIOD.
As far as politicians 'lying'. That is what they DO.

Ron Paul is the only one I have seen that appears to be honest. Therefore...one votes for none of them.

One spends ones time telling other, less intelligent people, that politicians are lying, slimy scumbags...unfit to shine a decent persons' boots...and follows it up by NOT VOTING FOR THEM....

Voting for scum indicates that the voter is scum...and the shape America is in is proof positive of the truth of this statement.

A vote for EITHER presidential candidates, for example, is positive proof of the mental illness of the voter...

The problem is, is that I'm out numbered. Perhaps 1,000,000:1[:(!]
Look at how many voted for the 2 POTUS candidates to put them in the position to become POTUS.[xx(]

Daley has such an iron grip on chitcago he will be mayor till he dies. His father was mayor for 20 years too.[xx(]

A sensible man recognizes when a process no longer works...and wastes no more time with that particular process.

Voting for the 'lesser of two evils' is utter nonsense...and places one in the position of advocating evil, ANYWAY...

Today was voting day, here in Oklahoma...I chose to not vote. I MAY go vote in the general election..to write in Ron Paul.

I doubt that I will ever vote again, in New America, peopled with New Americans..
This country will have to go to hell in a handbasket without my help.Only the criminally insane can actually believe that we have a chose between good and bad, today.

I care not what those 1,000,000 idiots do. The only thing that matters is MY integrity .. MY honor.

I agree with freemind. You shouldn't have to be a permit holder to carry a firearm.

Yeah Freemind, you're on it, you just didn't go deep enough for the febile minded.

hegs ... Its not just CCP holders, its the citizens at large who will deter crime. We are blessed by God to have the Constitutional Right to Keep and Bear Arms. That includes everybody. Now digest this: How 'bout arming everybody in Chicago with a gun-at least one per household and one in every vehicle? Then publicly dare the criminals to attempt burglary, rape or murder upon the armed citizens of Chicago.

What do you think the crime rate would be then? If the 'city' was smart, they would blanket the entire city with guns ...

It must be a collective effort, not just by a few with conceal carry permits.[;)][;)]

First you say it is the voters fault for voting in the scum, then you say that your answer is to not vote. How is that working out for you?

    Works about as well for me as voting for garbage works for YOU, Slumlord;

The BIG difference between us, Slumlord ? I am not pissing down my leg and pretending that it is life-giving rain...as you do.

I quit doing that when I was about 2 or 3 years old, I don't know about you. Why do we have to get down to personal insults? What ever happened to a civil discussion on issues without the kid games and insults?

I am perfectly capable of a civil discussion.
    This is not it.

Given your history here on this board...I looked at it like just anopther challenge.

Now..we can indeed go back to square one and start over.

My position is the same as it has been for many years.
Politicians are rotten corrupt slime bags...unfit to clean septic tanks with their bare hands. Any that pretend otherwise are part of the problem...not the solution.

It has been proven over and over again that gun bans in any form do not deter crime, they actually encourage it. Cities with no gun bans have far less crime then those who ban guns. NEWS FLASH!!!-Criminal don't obey laws!!!!!!! I know a shocker. Hopefully we will be seeing some of these total gun bans reversed.

If you know that guns in the hands of citizens deter crime, why are you a NRA supporter?

I'm only 22 so maybe I don't know as much about the NRA as you. Please give me any relevant info you have as to why I should not support them. I love my guns and would do anything to keep them. I shoot at the NRA Range in Fairfax, VA on a weekly basis. In this case the NRA has provided a cheap place to shoot and take classes.

We actually do not disagree much about politicians. My personal experience in politics was a 4 year term on my local school board. From that experience I learned that I could never lie, cheat, or steal well enough to be a successful politican.

Not trying to fuel the fire here, but just want to ask this question to see how people feel about it.

Is it better to vote for the lesser of two evils or not vote at all?

    "Voting the lesser of two evils";

    My position, plain and simple.
We are in a downward spiral here in America.
NOWHERE on the political landscape is there any relief for the Constitution ..save for Ron Paul.
Ron Paul is universally DESPISED ..even by gun owners here on GB...for Gods' sake !!

Therefore, Evil WILL flourish here in America. The choice is merely faster versus slower.
`Slower' means we continue to shove off into the future the ultimate decision.
`Faster' means WE face that ultimate decision.
That `ultimate decision being the decision the Founders faced ..submit to tyranny, or fight.

    Either we man up, withdraw from the rotten political process, and allow the slimy, sleazy politicians their head...and get an opportunity to restore freedom;
or we `fight the good political fight'...and our children live under hideous despots.

Were I smart enough to know WHICH presidential candidate would advance the Socialist/Fascist agenda the fastest ..I would recommend voting for him, perhaps.

Both are utter garbage. I will not soil myself by voting for either. Voting for either is a reflection of the moral, ethical, spiritual degeneracy of the American public.
