Any one here used this software before. How is it compared to ex bal when making drop charts.....Thanks in advance[:D]

    I have used LFD for many years, and like it a lot. It doesn't give you the flexibility or the depth of detail that QuickLoad does, but it is a helluva lot easier to use. The external ballistic functions should be just fine for most shooters, but I have not used Ex Bal, so I can't directly compare them. I can say that Oehler's Ballistic Explorer is much more detailed than LFD.

    I don't fully trust any predictive software for load development. Too much depends on the exactness of the case measurements you input. But they can be helpful for ballparking wildcats or just as s fun "What if..." toy.
    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.
