Have a small supply of these and carbide dies; is it worth the effort , or are they junk?

You know it isn't a great idea, but you are curious. Yea, yea, yea, I've heard "Curiosity killed the cat" too, but it never made me any less curious.
A few said " if it were all I had " , or " if it were rare " , so they would try it if necessary.
HOWEVER, If you have never done it, you have no knowledge of what may, or may not work.
Having said that, depending on what you start with, you may want to drill a central flash hole to deprime (unless you punched through it while drilling).
Hopefully you won't have to re-size the primer pocket, that alone could be a challenge.
Your dies are not going to like it, so go easy. That may avoid creating a miniscule crack somewhere.
You may want to skip crimping if the bullet feels firmly held.
Considering that something may have been missed, A 'remote control firing' would be a good idea.
WAIT A MINUTE... It still might be better to wait until those cases ARE all you have, Then try it. Until then, pick up all the brass you can find.[:D]
