A sketchy load?

I've been using Unique in 9mm loads around 4.7gr. I was recently on Alliant's website, and they state to use 6.4gr of Unique. I filled the cases and this seems to be a compressed load. I backed it back down to 4.7, am I being a sissy?

4.5-5grs of Unique works good for a 124-125gr bullet.
5.5-6.2gr seems like the load for 115grs.
3.3-5.7gr seems like the load for 147grs.
If your load cycles your pistol OK stick with it [;)]
I'm just not used to shooting compressed loads. I mostly shoot bullets in the 124gr range. ^.3 just seemed like alot when I lookeb into the case
9mm, wsp, 115gr HP, load called for 6.4 grains of Unique
48th Lyman Manual recommends 5.8gr Unique as MAX load for a 115gr bullet in 9mm...with a OAL of 1.090 ...this out of a 4" barrel...I might add, 4.4gr Unique to start
