The link listed below has a form, that is what you will need to fill out and contact Fort Drum physical security prior to our event and register your firearms to be on Fort Drum. Failure to do this will have you removed from the event and most likely have your firearm and freedom at risk. You can FAX or email this into them. Attn. Charles Childs, he is the main man at physical security we will deal with.
We will be holding a 3 day event October 12-14, 2012 on range 44 at Fort Drum.

All targets will be military pop-up infantry targets AKA "IVANS"

Friday will be a combat handgun event auto-pistols duty type caliber .45ACP, S&W .40 cal and 9MM.
Distance may vary from 25 meters to 125 meters.

Saturday will be battle rifle competition, calibers 5.45mm up to 7.62mm. Distance will be either 50-300 meters with some moving targets, or we may extend the max distance for the battle rifle to 500 meters.[8D]

Sunday will be a long range team event, calibers will be allowed up to and including .50 cal BMG. Distance will be 550-1,000 meters, this may be extended to a max distance of 1,500 meters as well.

Ammunition restrictions......Unless there is a ban due to being too dry, any and all ammunition will be allowed. This means tracers, incendiary, Armour piercing ETC. will be allowed.

I will get the website updated ASAP with the entry forms and waivers in the next couple of days. Also, sorry for this, but for some reason it takes internet explorer to open all of the links on the website. Our website is northcoastshooters.com

If you are a non-resident of NY and bringing a handgun for the competition or a battle rifle keep it locked and ammunition locked in a different container. Also keep a copy of your match entry with you. This is a NRA sanctioned event. Which means that for the duration of the event and coming to and going from we are excempt from the NY laws of possession of high cap mags, pistols and rifles that we use. If you have any questions please feel free to call me. REMEMBER unloaded locked, ammo locked in a different container that is opaque/cannot see into it.

All issue iron sights on the Battle Rifle Competition, I assume.

    Thanks for the info.

    Folks,

It will be a timed fire, 40 target course of fire. The sights will be "run what you brung". Solve the course of fire. If there is enough of an interest we will have a live fire night fire on the range as well. That means you folks with the IR scopes and passive night vision will have the chance to lite them up!
