Screwed up[xx(][xx(] had .38-55 listed. Had to come back and change it to .38-56, which is a .45-70 govt. cartridge case necked down to .375.

WOW, have I seen some wild ones here.
I reload:
6.5 TCU from 223 cases is the oddest

I have always been fond of Hornady stuff, but I use Nosler, and Sierra as well. Brass is whatever I can keep, beg for, or steal.
Most recent is the 9mm FEDERAL (rimmed 9mm) for my Charter Arms Pit Bull. Also 7.65 x 53 Argentine Mauser. I have loaded tracers for my .30-30 and 150 grain Spitzers to make it a two shot tube feeder. Way ahead of leverevolution!
1880's S&W 38/44 for the No3 single action target I use 351 Winchester
self loading Cases Original had two loadings Target and Gallery both wit conical bullets but loaded so bullet did not project in front of mouth of case. I have one factory box of each loading from the 1890's .
.270 S&H. Yeah, I know, I can't find anything on it, either. The rifle is a re-barreled Remington model 30 Express. It takes a 7x61 Sharp & Hart case necked down slightly to .270. Fire forming straightens out most of the taper. I could probably make cases out of 7 Rem. Mag., too, if I had dies. As it is, I neck size with .270 WSM dies and, so far, it works OK.
Finally finding a recipe for 223's reloaded at 22 long rifle velocities to group accurately for small game hunting and plinking, then finding recipe for low recoil, accurate reduced loads for the normally harsh recoil kickers, such as 300 win mags, 7mm mags, 30;06's at 30:30 velocities for deer hunting so as the normally hard kicking calibers could be used and practiced with by youth hunters.
Well this came back from the dead. Since I started it, in addition to the oddballs I started it with, let me toss in two more:
7.5X53.5 (the 1889 version of the 7.5 Swiss)
.380 Revolver. Very similar in dimensions to a .38 S&W, but with a web area ahead of the rim closer in diameter to a .38 special and taking a heel based .375 bullet. Or supposedly; I don't have a mold for that, the bore needs that diameter, so I use a .375 roundball. If you don't resize the cases, mark them by cylinder, and press fit them in with a light roll crimp over the top, they work ok, if a little snug.

I love the challenge of loading odd ball rounds. I get to shoot some strange stuff.
How about .38 Special with .224 cavity hollow point filled with reversed .22 L.R. shell and powder, minus the bullet?
Blocks of 2X4 at 50' indoor range were all kinds of fun.
Of course that was many years ago when I was young and foolish.
Old and foolish now, but I'd not recommend it. ;-)
