7.63x25 Mauser

I will soon be in possession of an old Mauser Broomhandle with a 16 inch barrel, My normal powder for the 5 inch barrel is 5.8 gr of Unique. Id like to take advantage of the longer barrel and burn time by using a slower burning powder. I have a good supply of Blue Dot. Just looking for a good starting load. Thanks

The load that produces the highest velocity in a 5" barrel will also produce the highest velocity in a 16" barrel.

Use the Hornady 90gr/XTP HP bullet cayalogue #31000, it is designed for the Tokarev version of the 7.63X25, but works great in the Mauser and the .30 Luger. I would stick with the loads listed in the manuals and go with the slowest powder listed.
