Odd cases

I just bought a lot of mixed range brass and found some cases I've never seen before in the batch. They are headstamped: CBC 38 SPL C.
I think CBC is a Canadian company but these cases are only .751 long. Any ideas what they are. All the other dimensions match a standard .38 Spl.

Split case mouth trimmed back or 38 SP cut back to 38 "short" Colt length??????

Its Brazilian ammo. 38 Colt (short) is listed as 0.765" long.

Magtech ammo is head stamped CBC...I've used them in stuff from .380 to .454, it's decent ammo.

I'll bet the C means "Corto" for short.
