Remington SP 410 2 1/2" load data

I need load data for the Remington Sp 410 shell. The new Lyman shotgun manual shows the Remington SP hull but gives no reloading data, it has loading data for the Remington STS hull, does anyone know if you can use the data for the STS hull for the SP hull? Thanks

I load the same in 2 1/2" 410 with all hull types & see no difference in performnce.

The Lyman book provides data for families of the same case construction. Look at the construction of the cases. Internal base construction and height are important and so is the case internal taper. In 20 gauge the new AA HS will collapse if you try and use the wads for the old AA's (internal body taper).

Back in the day a target AA was low base while the Upland was a high base. Loading data was the same except the 8 point crimp on the AA vs. the 6 point on the Upland.

longspur007 what do mean you use the same data with all hull types? I have a new Remington 1100 in 410 and do not want to blow it up.

Lyman # 4 says Rem SP410 hull-15 to 17 grains Win 296-Win 209 primer-Win AA410 wad-1200 to 1340 fps, Also shows all same components with Hodgdon H110 to 18 gr at 1370 fps. With IMR 4227 and all same components- 17 gr and 1190 fps. I personally always used the 15 gr 296 losd at 1200 fps for skeet and sporting clays shooting and it worked well and reloaded very nicely thru my DL 155 and had a very nice crimp, hope this helps you with what you need.

I have a Rem. 1100 also. I load Win AA & Rem hulls all the time & use the same loads in both. Same goes for my Browning Citori in 410.
I use AA wads, Win 209 primers, & 17 gr of H110 powder.
