I wanted to use Unique or Power Pistol but had to settle for Win 231 powder ahead of a 250gr Speer JHP. I have both Large Pistol Standard primers and Magnum primers.
The Hornady Book makes no mention of Mag Primers but Winchester loading data only uses WLP primers for Win231. These primers are used for both Standard and Magnum applications...some forums say that Win231 should use Mag primers, some use Standard primers.
Henry said that 45LC pistol loading data (excluding Blackhawk) is safe in the 1860.
Question: Does anyone here use Magnum Large Pistol Primers for Win231 powder loads in 45LC?
