38 SPL load data

I have not been able to locate my laymans manual. I am looking for the min~max loads for a 105g lead using Unique or bullseye. Or any favorite using either of these 2 powders. Thanks.

My Lyman 49th edition doesn?t list 105 gr lead bullets but it does list 90 and 120 gr cast bullets.

    90 gr: Bullseye ? starting load 3.3 ? max load 5.3 - +P ? 5.6
    Unique not listed

    120 gr: Bullseye ? start 2.8 ? max 4.6 - +P ? 4.9
    Unique - start 4.0 - max 5.7

    I hope that helps.

Could that be a typo? My Lyman lists several loads for the 150 grain cast bullet: Bullseye starts at 2.0 and tops at 3.6 grains; Unique starts at 3.5 and tops at 6.8 grains. The closest my manual gets to 105 is a 112 grain.

My 49th ed Lyman lists 150 gr .38 special wadcutter as follows:

    Bullseye start 3.1 - Max 3.5
    Unique start 3.7 - max 4.2

    My manual doesn't show a 112 gr.

Not a typo 105g (closely resembles a TC) For target and range use, most likely a new/young shooter. Now I am wondering where I came up the load I have been using.
4.6g Unique. It works pretty well from a 6" barrel but I think I need a little more for a 4". I can start working it up .1 at a time, I was worried about MAX.

If you can't find data for your weight of bullet, use data for next higher weight.
    Lyman 3rd Edition:
    92gn L-RN
    Bullseye 3.3gn start, 5.3gn Max, 5.6gn +P
    121gn L-RN
    Bullseye 2.8gn start, 4.6gn Max, 4.9gn +P
    Unique 4.0gn start, 5.7gn Max
    121gn L-CFP
    Bullseye 3.8gn start, 5.0gn Max, 5.3gn +P
    Unique 3.9gn start, 5.0gn Max, 5.8gn +P
    Add
So, you can start at 3.0gn Bullseye and 4.5gn Unique.
