Damm 45acp NT brass!!

drawndrawn Member Posts: 544
Someone in my shooting group shot some of this NT (non-toxic)ammo and the brass made it into my Dillon 650. Right in the middle of cranking out rounds and Stop!! primer wont seat as the NT brass is small pistol primed and will not pass the primer stage.
Just a heads up.

Wait until you get a 45Auto Rim in there [:D][:D].
At what step in your reloading process do you inspect the brass?? IIRC the NT stuff is clearly marked.

I barely inspect as brass is going in and out of tumbler. this is where I find 9mm or other cases stuck in the 45acp's. I also usually catch badly damaged cases but it is amazing what the Blue machine will fix. Thanks for the heads up on the auto rimmed! I think I'll deprime and size about a hundred rounds so when poop happens I can just pull that stage pin and swap the case before the powder stage.
