Go to the Barnes website. They don't have any manual data out for the triple shock bullets yet ( at least last time I checked, unless very recently ) and they advise to not use the data for the old X bullet and XLC bullets with the triple shocks. They pretty much tell you that a new manual is coming and to start with low charges and work up slowly to see where your guns maximum load is ( which is pretty good advice for most any handloading ). I still haven't exhausted my supply of the old X Bullets and XLCs yet. -- Maybe someone else has some better data for you.........good luck.....[8D]

Yeah i did look on the site and they suggested to start at the minimum loads for the old x-bullet......I don't have a barnes manual and can't seem to find any data for x-bullet .270 140 grainers[:(]

I loaned my barnes manual to friend. Should have it back in a day or two. If no one else has responded by then I'll post it for you when I get it back. -- Are you sure you want 748 data ? -- I'd like H4831 in 270 Win. myself ( FWIW )..............[^]

Anything I can find will be great as far as powders go. I mentioned 760 and 748 because I have them on hand. But if you have had good luck with a different powder by all means please tell me.

I use Re 22 on all my 270 loads and have had exceptional results with the 140gr TSX. I ended up with a max load listed by alliant and had no pressure signs. The accuracy of these rounds were arround 3/4" at 100 yds.

H-4831 is a great powder in the 270, and I would prefer a 150grain bullet over the 130 grain.
    A start load for the 130 X is 56.0 grains of H-4831

Ok... I looked it up as 60 grain max load of the reloader 22. Keep in mind that is a MAX LOAD. Pressures were fine in my a-bolt, but yours may be different. I would start at about 53 and work up.

OK danski26 - got my Barnes manual back.-- We are talking about 270 Winchester, correct? If so the following data is for that cartridge using the old plain 140 grain x-bullet ( flat base or boat tail )with a Winchester case and Federal 210M primer out of the Barnes manual #3. Start low and work up. -- No data listed for W748 // W760: start = 48gr , maximum = 52gr // H4831: start = 55gr , maximum = 59gr // IMR4831: start = 52gr , maximum = 56gr // IMR4350: start =49gr , maximum = 53gr // RL22: start = 55gr , maximum = 59gr ---- All the above listed powders load good in the 270 W. -- I listed W760 first because you said you had it on hand. If that doesn't work out try some of these others. I listed them in the order of my personal preference, but your mileage may vary.....[:D]
    good luck..........
