Shot my first reloads today

CubsloverCubslover Member Posts: 18,601 ✭✭
Thanks to everyone who helped me. I shot 20rds of my first reloads. The process is a lot of fun, it's even more fun to turn around and shoot them.

Thanks again

Well that's great! How did they compare with factory loads?

My first reload was used last week to kill a raccoon that had killed one of our ducks, and was tearing up our barn.

    Satisfying? Oh yeah! [:D]

Tell you the truth. I winced with the first round. I fired it one handed. I read all the horror stories in the books and on this site. I was afraid I was going to blow up. Even though I double and triple checked everything.

Well, they shot great. They were light loads and very manageable with follow up shots. They also grouped a little better than the factory loads I USED to shoot. One hellofa muzzle flash. It was getting dark when I fired the last few. I probably shot 100rds, 20 of which were my reloads. The factory load don't put much of a flash out. I wander what that thing looks like in the dark. I am glad to here that the loading is going well. You will find that it won't save you money because you will shoot more.
