Anyone have a favorite they would like to share?

I plan on using Norma brass and thats as far as I got with load development so far.

Just picked up a K31 last week.

Same your money...use 284 Winchester brass. Neck up, fire once, and it is perfect.

If you have not purchased dies yet, I highly recommend the Redding dies. This is the only die on the market made for the K31 chamber. All of the other dies are made for the 1911 chambers (somewhat looser tolerances).

I have used H414, 4895, 4064, etc....pick your favorite. Mine likes bullets of 150, 165, 168, & 174 grains.

www.grafs.com has the proper brass at decent prices, though it comes in and out of stock (not NORMA, this stuff is made for them specially by Hornady through PRVI Partisan, i think; I like it at any rate). Or use .284 Win.

I use 43.5 gr. of VV N150 behind a 168 gr. Nosler custom competition. They have been the most accurate so far. I have had great success also using 46 gr. VV N160. behnd the same bullet. What I've found I think is like what everyone else I've talked to about these is that they like midweight bullets for .30 cal (168-190)pushed out moderately. Hot loads go all over the place and light loads don't seem to stay tight like the 174-175's do. 45 grs of H4350 behind a 168 gr. bullets works pretty good also. 38 grs. of 4895 would be the place to start with the same bullets and work up. I have not tried that powder but think it would do well. I use 42 gr. of 4895 in a .308 behind a 168 gr. bullet and that is near max so 38 is a good low place to start since the 7.5 case has more capacity. -hope that helps
