WOLF AMMO FOR SKS'S

I.ve been researching wolf ammo. Is it as bad as many seem to say? I am looking to plink some off to get a feel for the weapon. It is real tempting @ .16 per rnd. Haa anyone had any experience with wolf ammo?

Just shoot it and ignore all the crap you hear about it. A SKS does not care. if the bolt goes into battery and the firing pin hits a good primer. It will go BANG. That is what the SKS does; goes bang, all the time; every time with no problems. The ammo brand is irrelevant to the discussion.

    Thanks Bpost......

If it was as bad as i heard i wouldnt think there would be a market for it. I'll give 500 rounds a go. To much?.........

Wolf ammo and a SKS were made for each other.Tough, dependable and best of all cheap.

I currently have about 10,000 WOLF 7.62x39 on hand for my 2 SKS's and my 2 AK's. I have shot thousands of rounds of WOLF and never a problem. I have only fired about 2000 rds of WOLF .223 but I have about 5000 rds on hand. I have several guns chamberd in .223 (AR's, HK, Galil) and have never had a problem. I say shoot it and dont worry.

Back in the early 80s, Wolf made some 45acp with unreliable primers; that's where all the Wolf bashing started.
There has been a whole lot of anecdotal posting by people that have never even bought Wolf ammo, denigrating its' performance and quality control that keeps the myth alive.
Wolf offers a FULL REFUND for all unused ammo when one experiences a misfire due to manufacturing error.
They will laugh at you if you try to tell them that their ammo caused a Failure to feed, or broke your extractor, or any other problem over which they have no control.
It will work fine in any SKS, AK, Ruger #1 or AI gun chambered for that cartridge.

I am not a big rifle shooter, But i am an avid Competition shotgun shooter. I shoot about one thousand rounds in one day of practice and i can tell you that wolf shotgun shells are excellent. They out preform the much hyped winchester AA's in every way. They are much cheaper too. In my opinion you can't go wrong with wolf.

Fine for your use in that type of weapon.
Wouldn't buy it to shoot small groups in bolt action rifles, etc.
Their Match 22LR ammo is very accurate BTW.........................
