I am building one currently. It was a 7x57 barrel that only seemed to like the highest possible velocities that I could squeeze out of it. The problem was when the groups started to tighten up the bolt got sticky.
It is only a 21" barrel, so I don't think the very slowest powders will be a big advantage. My thinking is that this conversion might make the barrel useful.
I have fireformed a little brass. I have 140 and 150 grain bullets, Accurate 3100, Reloder 22, and Varget in good supply.
