Reloading the 270 win.

Does anyone have a good flat shooting load for Hornady SST Interbond bullet? That they have had success in shooting. Looking to shoot between 400-500 yds.flat. Need somewhere to start.

Mine prefers H4831. Start at the bottom and work up, your rifle is probably different than mine.

Count this as another vote for 4831, H or IMR.
Been loading the .270 since the mid-60's with 150 Noslers on top of 4831. Still have some of those first reloads and they still go bang, still keep the freezer full.
By the way, DON"T assume that same make/model of rifles will do the same thing with any specific load. Start low with any new recipe, and work up. Too many variables even with same manufacturer, model, etc.

58.0gr H4831sc under a 130gr pill has been the ticket for several rifles I have loaded for.

53.5 grains of H-4831 under a 150 grain Hornady has always done well for me when I use it, but I prefer to use the 7mm's..........

i use 2 very accurate 270's. i ditto the 58.0 h4831sc w 130 grain, either interbond or scirocco, but one really likes R19. at that long range, premium bullets count.
