Long story short, were are going out to the Black rock desert sometime in May too deposit more lead in the area.
do you have any pet loads for the 7.7 Jap? The 7.62x54R is for a Mosin Nagant that my 10 year old nephew has (he loves shooting that rifle!)
The 7.7, I have about 120 once fired norma cases for that rifle but I am not sure if I should do a full length resize or if I can just neck size.
The arisaka <sp> is one of the good ones.

My pet load is 42 grains of H4895, using .312-diameter, 150-grain, Hornaday Interlocks.
I can't personally pull it off, but I watched the young lady who last shot this load through my Jap put three holes into an inch and a half.
I would respectfully disagree with 7.62 because, since your brass is already fire-formed, neck-sizing would cause less stress on the brass.
I've fired my brass (Norma) twice. Now I have to find a mandrel for my brass trimmer. It's gotten a little stretchy.
I lucked into a chrome-lined-barrelled T-99 that I sporterized.
This T-99 has also been sporterized as well. barrel has been cut to 24+ inch. re-blued, the bolt assy been nickel plated (1979 project gun).
Gotta put up a pic. The smith did a nice job! It still lets ya know its a 7.7[:D]

Sweet!
I've still got to do a bolt-job, drill and tap and I'm debating having the barrel cut. I mean, it's so accurate now that I'd hate to mess up barrel harmonics.
