I've not had either, but I've heard better reviews of the Lyman.

They are too much money for me.[:D]

I do have one. It is the RCBS chargemaster Combo 1500. If you look at 6mmbr.com and benchrest.com you will see that the RCBS unit is much higher rated than the Lyman. I have not seen anything showing the Lyman is rated above the RCBS.

I like mine, it is simple accurate and repeatable. I don't like cleaning the last kernel of powder out of the feed tube.

The RCBS is nice. I have used one a bunch and it is much better than the older style RCBS that I currently have. It dispenses fast and you can set it to automatically dispense when you put the empty pan back on the platen. With the powder drain on the side it is pretty easy to empty. I would bet you will be very happy with it.

Purchased two of each. Neither were accurate.

Use a Hornady model M - longest beam of the manual scales on the market.

I own a Lyman and a RCBS despenser and scale. I prefer the RCBS by far. Seemed to be better quality.

I have a PACT (they make the RCBS units for RCBS) and it has been nothing short of wonderful. Mine will throw charges as fast as you can seat bullets and check for runout. It saves me a lot of time and makes loads that may have one or two rounds in the box that vary by .1gr,.....not enough to show up even at 1000yds.

I have the RCBS combo 1500
and I love it and it is accurate.
I use it just for target rifles
only as it is a bit slow for pistol
loads but I've had it for 6 months now
and the only regret is that I
didn't buy it sooner.I don't know about the
lyman , it may be just as good but I've
always bought RCBS except for once
where I went with the Lee pro-loader 1000
and had a headache for 2 months.
Rock chucker only for me, no headaches
of course no speed records but very
    therapeutic.
