Brass

I'm going to get back into reloading after many years of absence. Going to start with a 243 with accuracy being the top criteria. Is there one brand of brass that seems to be better than others? Thanks. Dave

Anyone have 30-40 pieces of .243 brass they could spare? Not asking to get it free. I'll pay for it. I dont need/want new brass so I thought I'd ask if any of you had any once fired.

In with all the stuff I received was some brass that I won't use for a while. Quantity wise, there isn't enough to justify posting them on GB. Theres 142 10mm and 104 .38 special. What do you guys do with it? Trade it at a gun show or what? Theres a local pawn/reloading supply shop around here, I don't know if he would trade for some useful to me brass or not.

I have some that I could part with (fired 3-4 times), but might I suggest getting a couple of boxes of PRVI ammo from Grafs (http://www.grafs.com/fc/product/114513). That way you get to shoot some ammo and then you get the brass and you know where the brass came from and what it has been through. It is only $10 a box and Grafs only charges $3.95 for handling, no shipping charges.

In reply to your other thread, stepping down is not required it just stresses the brass more. If you anneal after sizing, you should be fine.

For brass and other components look also at Powder Valley, http://www.powdervalleyinc.com/. I just got a load of powder and primers in at a great price.

Matchshot, thanks a bunch for that link.

I've been looking at some other places to order powder. This place blows all of the others out of the water on prices. I placed a big order with them today.
