Please see answers in the Experts Forum.

I must say, the 6.5 Gibbs is one awesome cartridge, anything that can shoot a 120 gr pill in excess of 3300 fps has my approval. As this is a used target rifle I would advise you to have the barrel checked out. The 6.5 Gibbs is very similar to the 6mm-284 and most 6mm-284's have a barrel life that is less than 2000 rounds.

gunsmith checked out rifle today , and said it looked great, barrel looked perfect, he tore the bolt down , disassembled entire rifle , said there were no flaws at all it was in excellent condition.he said that if it wasnt for the huge scope on he would have thought it was new.

Make sure you post a "shameless plug" in the general discussion forum when you list it. I would like to get a crack at it when it goes up.

If you put under "bolt action rifles" it may get lost among everything else that is listed there, but if you put it under "single shot rifles" you would have a greater chance of it being seen by target shooters. As a target shooter, I look in "single shot" Every other day but I will rarely look into "bolt action" with doing a search for "match","compatition" or "wildcat". I hope that helps.
