Anybody got any ideas on a pet load to start with when loading for a XD-40, I do like it fast and accurate.(like 40mpg and 150mph right?)

Hi, I reload 40's and use 4.8 GRNS of Hodgdon Titegroup with a 165GRN Ranier plated HP, CCI and Remmington brass and CCI 500 Primers in my wifes 4" XD 40. Works really well. Load range is from 4.5GRNS to 5.1GRNS for a 165 GRN plated bullet so that is a mid range load. Works great for us. Low recoil and good accuracy fr practicing.

Good loading info is on Hodgdon's website. That is what I usually use.

My 40 loads for my CZ are 5.1gr Bullseye behind a 155gr FMJ in a mixture of brass using Federal SP primers.

I'm not sure of my OA Case length.

    Super accurate and pretty quick.
